The same scenario accured with myself..........i was horrified that my complete social.security number was read to me' and bank number. I ran to action, i contacted ss administration and got a list of things to do, #1 put a fraud alert on your bank account, or close it down and open another one. #2 contact three credit bureaus...experian, equifax, and transunion to keep an eye on credit report, and freeze if neccessarily to clean up. #3 call 18007721213 to file fraud watch with social security, #4 file a police report. Do not not do nothing..........be proactive from this day forward to keep an eye on all personal info. Ask as many questions as possible. I went through this and was annoyed by how intelligent these lost souls were..........not sure if its only in america, but we need to protect our frefdoms first and foremost..........everyone going through, stay positive and have a bless life...........deuces

I have been dealing with these guys ALL day- I call their return numbers and cannot get through- then they call me back, the last guy I talked to- "Jimmy Santana" admitted I did not owe that company , and said he was collecting to "help me out", I told him (after I read several complaints about the company) that I needed written proof of the debt and that I could not pay until I received that , he said that was" not possible" and "against the law" to send me copies of the charges against me. He then said " I'm sorry, I no longer wish to help you " and hung up .

!!UPDATE!! How weird ... and I use the word loosely! My bank account had an electronic draft come though and take everything out of my account with the exception of $17 and some change. BECAREFUL WITH THESE PEOPLE!! Oh, the electronic draft was payable to a 1-800 number with my "signature on file".

I have been getting these calls to the point that they are harassing calls i have the same story. My question is how to we get ride of these type of people that can get all our private information. well I called my bank and they said that I have no transactions from this company Advanced Cash U.S.A. He even told me that they were going to come and get me and hang me. lol never in America not for $300.00

These people are getting information from all different pay day loan places and every where they can that does not have a security setting. I find it interesting that this is on all the reverse phone sights and right by the post sights are connections to numerous debt places. All I can advise is this send the info to the FTC,local police departments,your bank and the attorney general of your state. If it sounds like a duck its a duck! If it sounds foreign it is.Blow a whistle,bang the phone ,scream at them. Dont waist your time trying to argue they are too stupid to argue with.

These people are rediculous. I have been called from 4 different numbers in the past month. They all claim the same thing, that I owe thousands of dollars from a loan that I have not repaid (which of course i dont have). They have threatened everything like other people on here, everything from my job to being put in jail. These people need to be stopped. I have already reported all of the numbers on the Federal Trade Commission. I suggest you all do the same and maybe the Federal Trade Commission will do something about it. BUT if they are threatening your life or physical harm you need to call the local police department. Thanks.

Same thing happened to me today wherein i received a call from this schmuck who threatened to send a detective out to my home and indicated they were filing criminal charges against me. I threw it back in their face and said i will contact my police department and he hung up me. The company he claims was out of New York but was hesitant of telling me that for sure. Broken English SOB. I did follow up with the police department and we determined that it was just one big SCAM:(

I have been receiving threatening messages from these people for the last few weeks. They calim that I owe some cash advance company 7000.00! Yes, they have very heavy accents and refused to give me any information about the people that they claimed I owe! It was obvious to me that it was a scam and I was furious!!! I worked in the criminal justice system for over 15 years and am not easily intimidated and started threatening them with legal action. They eventually got flustered and hung up the phone. I have contacted the FTC and given them the phone number that these dumb a's left for me to call them. Don't be fooled into lgiving these filthy scoundrels your information!!!! Instead report them so that they can end up in prison where they belong! The number that they left for me is 209-439-7013

I've been getting calls from the following number - 210-390-8698. I finally answered it today and the guy asked me if my name was Wicki McDowall - I said NO my name is Vicki McDowell. He then asked me to verify the last 4 digits of my social security number. I said yes. Then, he transferred me to his supervisor - Sean Rodriguez (he sounded Indian - heavy accent). He again asked me if I was Wicki McDowall - again I said NO my name is Vicki McDowell. He said at 5:00 today they were pressing charges against me and issuing a warrant for my arrest for money laundering and fraud!!! I was extremely shocked! I kept asking what he was talking about and he said he would finish telling me the allegations and then I could ask questions. He named a bank I USED to use and said they represent Cash USA for a loan on September 17 of last year. I NEVER took out any loans from any payday loan company and told him I was going to be contacting the DA's office and the BBB and he said fine go ahead. He kept asking me if I wanted to go ahead and make a payment and he wanted $650.00!!! I told him no - he would hear from my attorney and hung up on him.

In my opinion, you did the right thing. If you haven't taken out loans from the PDLs, then the CA cannot contact and harass you. If they call you next time, you can even ask them to validate the debt. I'm sure they won't be able to validate your debt. At that time, you can send them a cease and desist letter and ask them not to call you.

I just spoke with one of a few men who have called me relentlessly over the past few months. They have even clled my family members threatening them with legal action. they were unable to give any written documentation or provide a ligitimate address for their company. They told me that if I didnt send them 420.00 that they wre going to sue me for $8,000. I told them that if they could prove that I recieved any monies from them and send it to me in writing to do so. I was then yelled and screamed at that they did not have to send me anything and I had better not call them again! Something needs to be done about these PREDITORS!!!!

I have a new number for ACS 813-995-6191....all of the same crap that has been mentioned on here. His name this time was Ed Hawkins with a heavy (Indian) accent.I called so many times and he kept hanging up that he told me not to call him anymore and that if I did he would get me in serious trouble...LOL!!!! Bring it is all I can say. I reported it to the FTC. They also called my work and told me that serious allegations have been put towards my SS#. I did not get a payday loan from anyone online and if I did they would have my account numbers and would have already taken it back. This is all such B______t!!!!

They called me and told me that I had a court order downloaded against me. When I asked for something in writing they refused all they said was it was from Affidavit Consolidation Services (1-347-286-7380) on behalf of Advance Cash USA, which I have no loan with. I found a web site, but there is no phone number to make contact with anybody. What can I do?

first file a police report as this idiot broke the law with that threat.then use the name and the phone number you posted here to file AG,AND FTC complaints.then either ignore them,or hang up without a word if you get caught on the phone.this is a scam in INDIA that can only call and threaten stuff they can't/won't do.file the report,and complaints and again ignore them,or hang up on them.they dsserve nothing else.

Ok, so I got a call about this today as well, I knew it was a scam, but they have my SS and I am guessing my bank account number do I need to change by bank account. Can they withdraw money from my bank?

any bank info will most likely be your old one from the pdl's as that is how they got your SS#.i would watch the account as a precaution,but again most likely the account tied to the pdl's.

I started getting calls from ACS last week. I was working long days so I could not answer my phone. It was alwas 2 or 3 calls back to back and different caller ID #'s. Not only calls from NY, NJ, Ohio, Mississippi, and Texas. But calls from all over the world as well British Virgin Islands, Morocco and other places. Leaves voice mail messages with different call back numbers each time but the callers name is always the same (John Williams). He says I owe money to a company but will not say the name of the company. A friend of mine works for a law firm and called back for me pretending to by my lawyer. When she asked questions about where they were located or other questions they hung up and would not answer when she called back. This is a SCAM!!!!! DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY!!!!

I just received a call from them, hopped online to check them out. An Indian sounding man calling himself Alex Matthews instructed me that I was going to be sued by Cash Advance USA. Thank you all for putting your information here so I could read through while he was going through all of speeches on how I should pay them $745.35. I instructed him that I wanted something on paper saying that this was legit and he hung up on me. He called me four times today.

I too have been getting these phone calls.. The messages are from a lady.. She threatens me with court orders and contacting my employer and references. She tells me not to ignore this or it will lead to huge punishments. I called it back yesterday and the guy who answered just said hello.. I asked how I was calling and he stating you are calling me.. I told him I was left a message with this number and he got hostile.. Started calling me a f*cking b**ch. got f myself and more.. Then he hung up..
I called back and got no answer.. Tried again and the same guy answered.. This time he stated my name and started to threaten my life.
The female called me back today.
Guess I need to contact my local law.

Do what I do when the jerks call you. Yell and scream at them. Call them names fight with them, or act like you are a phone sex operator and try and get them to pay you. These people have no life and all they want to do is get you to give your info out so they can rob you blind. Don't be scared to be mean to these people they are dumb. I get really mean or put on a sexy voice and try to them to pay me. Or best one I've done it act like you are fighting with you spouce and don't let them talk and just keep the fight going. It will work like a charm and it makes you feel better lol.

my payday loans are all paid off these people constantly call my place of employment and my home and they are harrassing i have contacted the ftc and will do so again how can i get them to atleast stop calling my job-when they do call they are saying i no longer or do not work there but they still keep calling-help

File a complaint with who? The best advice I've read is to say you're an attorney or you know an attorney and that you'll take them to court for fraud. That's what I'm going to try next time to see if I can get them to stop. It's seemed to work for other people.

ACS called me last night about a loan from Cash Advance USA. I have never done business with them. I told them that. I also told them that if they call me again I would call the police. They hung up very quickly.

I called them back and quoted part of the fair debt collection practices act saying I was entitled to a written explanation of the debt with in 5 days. I heard 2 men talking in a different language, then someone else got on the phone, yelled at me and hung up. I tried to call right back but he number was already disconnected.;

I guess they understood that they are at fault and out of frustration yelled at you and hung up. I'm sure you won't receive any further calls from them :-)

Yes got that call today. LMFAO it is a fraudlent call, get as much info from them as you can, record call if you can and make a police report. These people are calling from other so call legal offices like General Legal Group and a few others. Saying you have a debit you have not made right by and you are being charged with criminal charges. Yeah ok let the police handle it. Don't send them money and if it turns out to be a real thing take to court with you the police report and all other info you may have on them and tell judge you just wanted to make sure it was legit before doing anything different like sending money to these thiefts. Call the creditors they are saying you owe as well to make sure they are filing against you. Let all your friends and family know of these scans. Have everyone report them to police.:mad: Lets stop these people!!!!!!

Just in the last week someone I know got the harassing phone calls at work and home - his name given was Anthony Hopkins - ha ha ha - foreign accent - called her honey - sweety then threatened her with arrest - etc etc etc like they have done so many - thank goodness we found this website so we can see who to contact which they have already started - including a local TV station who possibly can get the word out about them. This has gone on way too long - I guess they have nothing constructive to work on - thanks to all who had put their input in.:D

I received the same. call the BBB of NY 716/881-5222 also call the Federal Trade Commission 877/3824357 and then call 1 of the 3 credit report companies and put a security freeze on your credit report. I have spent days dealing with this company. I do believe they got my information from an order I placed online. A month ago a company claiming to be called LLC Law Veronica Paul also called me. broken English, Muslim-India accent 646/918-8123. This is THE United States of America!! I LOVE my country and this angers me beyond belief. Why do these scammers continue to get away with this harrassment of calling people at work (7x) and home(5x) as soon as I said I was turning them into the FTC-they quit calling.......for now

ACS has been calling me on my cell phone, my home phone, and my boss at work saying I owe a payday loan that was taken out by me online by a company I have never heard. They have my SSI# and my address. They say if I don't pay it I and my mother will have to go to Federal Court, we will be arrested And it will cost us $7,400 if they win. I am tired of arguing with them and have checked my bank records for the last 2 years and thereis no deposit made to my account for the amount they say I owe. All who contacted me harrass me have a thick Indian accent and have names like Michael Turner, or Anthony Hopkins. I have contacted the local police about. I am tired of these phone calls Somebody stop them

They called me today AT WORK. Stating three affidavits were being held against my SS# for a loan. They EVEN HAVE MY SS #!! WHAT THE HELL! I told them I never recieved a loan, and what they are inquiring is bull, and I hung up. Then I came across this page. So I called the number and told them I missed a call from them & asked if they are ACS. He said, "Can I have your name?" I said, "First, what company is this"? He said, "I am American Collections". I said, "I have recieved a call from you guys stating I have taken out a loan and owe money and that my accounts may be seized. I have never had a bank card OR account, and that I will report you to the FBI if I recieve even an email from this company or the 'loan' company". He said, "I need the name of the person that called you so I can take you off our list". I said, "That doesn't even make sense. You have my name. And one last warning.. I will report you to every agency possible. Your entire business is illegal, and the only thing you REALLY need is to shut down your 'business'. Have great day." And I hung up. 281-661-4005 I just called this number and said, "You need to shut down your business. It's illegal." He said, "I will shut down my business NOT going to shut it down!" And hung up. So I called back. Same guy answered, I said, "You didn't give me time to tell you the GREAT NEWS"..."I just reported you to the FBI". He said, "YOU CAN'T REPORT ME". I said, "YES, I CAN. I gave them this phone number. Have a GREAT DAY." And hung up. :) I hope they like being harrassed just as much as they like harrassing! Cause I've got allllll day.

New number of 510-355-9863, but same story. I'm so glad this website is here. I had a payday advance in the past for medical emergency, but knew I didn't owe anything now. They still scared me because they said the court order was being delivered to my job. This needs to be stopped! I will also file with the FTC.

Ive had them harrassing me EVERY single day at work and on my cell...I just got off the phone with them from work and it was blocked but I did ask for a call back number and they gave me 347-875-3080. Middle Eastern accent, when they call the 1st person says they're going to transfer me to the manager. They told me the same thing...I owe them money for a payday loan I did online which is B.S! I asked them then why havent I received anything in the mail in WRITTING?...they said they dont need to and I told them that's cause it's NOT LEGIT!!! They would even prank call me and a guys (same accent) would just say "shut up" cause I cussed them out a couple times telling them their fraud and not to call again! BUnch of B.S! They also threatened to call my job, WTH?!...what collections agency would even do that? Oh how I wish I knew where they were.

So I called them 4x's and asked where i can bring the payment they are requesting and they told me to stick in my pu**y...now you know that's illegal. Im on FTC filing a complaint.

Please stay faithfully to filing your complaints. I am in the middle of battling with them, unlike many of you I allowed myself to be intimidated into paying. The amount paid to date is pretty substantial. I finally got tired of the threats and calls approximately 1 month ago. I went to an attorney for help and to learn my rights. Legally there is nothing that can be done, filing complaints with the FBI and Attorney General are important as this problem is escalating. The more complaints filed will help the case that is being developed against these tactics.

I have been able to recover a little (very small) of the money back. But I will not likely get the thousands back that I have lost. The key to winning this battle is knowing your rights; understanding the laws as it pertains to debt and the Fair Credit standard. And just having the staying power, they will stop at some point.

I no longer get a call every other day; I am down two maybe three calls a month now. Typically, around time I get paid. When they call I give them the name of my attorney and his telephone number. I have changed my numbers and am filing complaints with both the FBI and the Attorney General in my state.

This guy has been calling my business leaving messages a hundred times!! I finally found this website and found out its a scam! I called him "Eric Johnson" out on it. He told me to "suck his d**k" and hung up on me! LOL!! This place needs to be shut down! Why are they still out there! The number is 347-875-3080, this indian f**k needs to go to hell!

I also received a call from this place. They left a voice mail and said to call back 315-538-9905. The man's accent was so thick that I could barely understand anythign that was said. I understood something about "three accounts", "legal action", but couldn't understand his name or the name of the supposed company he represented. I have done some research on this number and since I have never had a paydoay loan, can only assume, like everyone else, that this is a scam. When they call again, I will let them know that I have placed the phne on speaker phone and I am recorded the call for future legal action. That usually slows scammers down.

I have received a few calls from them to my work as well as my cell phone stating that I took out a payday loan. The call was from a number that showed up as 1-0000 on my cell caller ID and as "unavailable" on our work phones. I am going to contact the Attorney General's office of the state of NY to try and get to the bottom of this, as I work for a collection agency myself and do know cease and desist laws that are bound by the FDCPA.:)
