Anyone hear of this law firm? Got a call from them this morning about my husband. She tried to be very intimidating and implied legal action several times. Direct Quote: "We will pursue this with legal action."
She did not offer the typical "This is from a debt collector" or anything, just that this needs to be taken care of immediately.
I am just kicking myself that when I answered the phone I didn't turn on my recording device!!!! *headslap*.
I am going to call her back later and tell her I was half asleep when she called and can only vaguely remember the conversation and THIS time record her threating a lawsuit they can't possibly do (she said the account was from 2002 so SOL is up.) Not to mention its a medical bill for during a time we had insurance so something isn't right.
Oh they also have an unsatisfactory BBB rating AND carry no Texas Bond....this is SO going to be fun....
How do you find out if a lawfirm is licensed to practice law in a specific state?

Right here However you must look up individual attorney names
Right here
However you must look up individual attorney names as opposed to firms as attorneys state licensing will differ. Like one may only be licensed in TX, while another may be licensed in TX, GA, WV, TN, etc.
You just have to pass the state bar exam (which includes ethics, state law, etc)
