what do a collection lawyer have to produce for it to be considered validated?

also on a few sites i seen where it says applications are scanned or on microfilm what does scanned mean?


debt validation letter must contain the information mentioned in the FDCPA.

What info have you got from the CA? Are you sure about their practice being legit? I am not sure about their scanning the application forms but I know that the debt on which they are collecting from the consumers must be in writing with all the accurate info from the original company

There is various case law regarding this. Some states that the collector must provide all the itemized invoices. Others say at the very least, a collector must show how they calculated the alleged debt and any add on fees, the should also prove that you have some contractual obligation to the party they are collecting for.
