Got a call from CST Mitigation and the answering machine picked it up saying they were Central Mitigation and there is a pending civil case with me as a respondant. I have never received any letter from this company. I tried to google the number and the company but no information comes up. Says I need to have my representative contact her. She could not even finish eating before she left the message. Very professional.

I have defaulted on some payday loans about 3 years ago so I am not sure what this could be about. Mitigation sounds scary.

Thanks for any info on the company or how to proceed.

I called the county courthouse and they said I would have to wait until I got served if there is a lawsuit against me. I have old credit cards from three or four years ago. I believe the statute of limitations for payday loans in Texas is 4 years (I will go back and look that up).

I plan on taking this seriously but I thought she was very unprofessional on the phone (eating and swallowing just to leave a message).

I am unable to find anything with the BBB on this company.

Thanks.

Dont allow the unprofessionalism of one person cause you a greater hardship later on. I did that once over a debt I had for a sofa I purchased and failed to payoff due to my job situation at the time. Long story short, I recieved summons for a court appearance courtesy of the sheriff's department. At that point I had no choice in paying it off in full plus every other fee they can legally tack on for going threw that process. If its a legitimate debt my best advice would negotiate a settlement you can afford. Good luck

I've received four messages from this woman "Catherine Jones" within the past 5 days at my place of employment. She keeps insisting that several allegations have been submitted against me - ? Very confused, and am not understanding why she does not call me... but keeps calling my job.

I got a call from the same company but let my answering machine answer it, no one asked for anyone there was only am man's voice and it sounded like he was saying hello to his mother. Is this a real place or another one of those scams to scare you? I have not been able to shake the idea I might be in trouble, although I cannot recall why someone with this kind of name would be calling me.

some guy name steven bull. i told him not to call and sent him a fax. he repeatly called 7 times and said that he will keep calling. he said the calls are being monitored. I told him since it was being monitored then he would know that he is violating the law and i specifically told him not to call again! thats how you know its not monitored.

Some guy named Richard cannon keeps calling me. I have never heard of these people until a few days ago. It seems fishy yet valid. But I asked for documents so I can validate my debt. They sent me a half ass e-mail. I'm almost 100% sure it's not my debt and it's a scam. They were quick to ask for money but slow at answering my questions. The guy had to keep placing me on hold to talk to"the attorneys". I am still investigating.....

I've been searching for this company and did not find any information. What they say sounds ligit, but how do I know if its real. I asked the person that was calling me to send me an email of the info they had on me and email looked very vague just stated the amount I owed and credit card. Didnt give me no other info. Also they threaten me with taking my vehicles if we do not pay them. Kept mentioning that it would be easier to pay settlemet instead of taking it to court. Ugh this is so annoying! How do I find out if it is real?

Generally, when they are making threats and telling you that they're your last chance to keep it from going to court, they're not legit. Have you received a Dunning letter? If not, they need to send you one. If they refuse, it's a scam. If what they send you looks fishy, send a debt validation letter.

I have received two calls to my cell phone for someone other than myself. I am hesitant to call the return number, because I feel that they be phishing for information. I simply delete the voicemails, and let that other person (if there is truly someone by the name they leave a message for) deal with their own collections problems. I have added the incoming number to my phone's "reject list" so that it will go directly to voicemail.

I just recieved a call from these guys and they are trying to collect on a debt from 2004 that was discharged in a Chapter 7. I figured this out when I asked them where the money had been deposited, and it was to a bank account I haven't had in 7 years!

I actually got served when I cursed the investgator on the phone. I had to get an attorney and everything was a nightmare. I had to pay almost triple what was offered on the phone. I will never take out another payday loan in my life

these people called me about a payday loan that I had taken out but I had already setteled my debts with a collections agency and when I told them that they told me to call them and ask for my money back because the company that I settled with wasn't real so when I called the company that I settled the situation with back they had attorney's to google this company and do some research and to come to find out they are unheard of and they aren't even listed in the United States. So please don't listen to these people they are scam artists.

I called this company back to ask them to send me a debt validation form and a form showing they are authorized to collect from the original company and was told by the time I get it Id already be served and would be in jail. 1) the bank account they supposedly put money into in 2010 I dont own. I closed that bank acount due to someone withdrawing money on it in 08. 2) they wouldnt give me their address. Why Not!!! I need to be able to serve them paperwork thats all legal asking for the proof . I cant send them any papers showing my account was hacked if they wont give me the address. So Yes I think its a scam. Theres like 4 comanies that want me to pay them and Im being served but none of them send any proof.

This place is very fishy. I googled their address 3455 Peachtree Industrial Blvd. Duluth, GA and they are not listed but a mail box service is. Hhhmmm.. Richard C. Cannon was the person that called me at my job and my phone not to mention a relatives house that I hadn't spoken to in years so this is definitely a scam. They may or may not be legit in CA and VA but they're definitely a bunch of hoodlums running under the radar of the FBI, FTC and my State Attorney General's Office. I've filed a complaint with my local police department and AGs office in my State and now onto the State of Georgia. Don't be duped and do your homework. Check your old credit reports - chances are they are getting information that's old. If you do have some outstanding debts, call the company you owe and ask them if you were sent to a collection agency and that firm's name. Just don't give them money because they sent you what looked like a letter via e-mail. Please - a legitimate collection agency would do it through the mail but these people won't do that for fear of being caught and prosecuted for mail fraud - phishing is also illegal in most states - Be smart and don't pay8)

This number is a new number for my company.  We are not a credit collection company, we help people improve their credit.  They will not be calling from this number anymore!

Thanks!
