I am looking for the mailing address for this number. They go by the name of "Disabled Vets" which seems like a charity but it is a cover for something else. The service provider for the number is Popp Communications in Golden Valley, MN, 800-234-popp. There is a recorded message at the Disabled Vets number that sounds like it is from the phone company, and it is, it is ripped from the phone company and burned onto an answering machine, once the tone ends after the outgoing message you can leave a message. I am having some difficulty by myself but I think a group effort can get it done. Please let me know what you find,
Jimbeem

So they are misrepresenting themselves as an organization that helps disabled veterans? Have you contacted the Disabled American Veterans with this information, they would do something about this. They have a webpage, it is

POPP.com Main Office
620 Mendelssohn Avenue
Golden Valley , MN 55427-4300

It is just down the road from here. I have been called by the Disabled Vets, they are selling some crappy products for probably too much money, we bought some 13-gal trash bags from them that ripped way too easily. I think they were a legit operation, as far as being an operation that was in the business of marketing crappy, overpriced merchandise. Whether they had any blind vets I don't know, but I beleived they did, so I bought from them.

Now Popp is simply the building and the phone banks and technology that allows Disabled Vets for the Blind to use there phone bank and space to do their fundraising.

That's my take on it.

I have Googled their phone number and I seem to get the same thing............they call but nobody speaks to anyone. When you call their number you get an answering machine but it has a pre-recorded outgoing message from the phone company that is intended to confuse you, just wait for the tone and leave a message. Also, what kind of charity is impossible to find or contact?
My thought is that they are a skip/trace company, I am 99% positive of it. These are the people that give your information, like phone numbers, to collection agencies. I know one poster had mentioned something about reporting them but if they employ 1 person that got a flesh wound and purple heart, they are compliant. Oh well, my search continues.
