Ok, so I've had several million calls from MTM Ventures about a payday loan that I didn't pay. I paid some of it and got calls from Taylor, James & Assoc. and MTM themselves and now today I get a call from a guy who claims he's from Monster Wallet. When I look up Monter wallet with the BBB it comes up as MTM Ventures. He told me the debt could only be paid by Money Gram payable to: Smith, Haynes, & Watson. These are supposedly attorneys. Does anyone know what the deal is? I don't know how to shake these people, I have sent validation to Taylor, James, and MTM and now someone else is calling me. Any info would be greatly appreciated. He is insisting that I haven't paid anything on the account and I have. I have that proof. Thanks

Good enough!! Since you have the proof, make sure that you contest their claim. Besides, they are attorneys/ debt collectors bound by the federal laws to validate the debt first. You will know the fact if they really have your file or trying to make money from your pocket. Send the DV letter to Monster Wallet also so that you have covered your legal part in every way. They won' take the matter to the court because I assume they don't have any proof to show this debt (You have something better than them :) ).

If they make the disturbing calls, send the cease and desist letter and legally stop them from calling you. You can also record their phone calls after checking the laws in your state. Make sure that you are aware of your state laws if the phone calls can be recorded secretly or by taking other party's permission. You won't give them any opportunity to build a case against you.
