Anyone have a good address for these crooks that I can give my attorney? I have one of 400-15225 104th Ave, Surrey, BC V3R6Y8. I want to make sure I have a valid address for my bk but they wont give me an address of course. I did a live chat and here is what I got....btw I made up a fake name.

Please wait for a site operator to respond.
You are now chatting with 'Arlene M'
Arlene M: Thank you for visiting Customer Care. How may I help you?
amy smith: hi, i need a mailing address for your company please
Arlene M: May I have your first and last name along with your social security number please?
amy smith: why do i need to give that to get a mailing address?
Arlene M: Your social security number is required in order to process your loan and to verify your identity. This is a common practice for most short term lending companies. Your social security number is also requested for your own security.
amy smith: i am not interested in getting a loan.i have correspondance to send to your company
Arlene M: We are providing service to a number of loaning companies. Unfortunately, I won't be able to give the head office address without your social security number.
amy smith: i need the address for payday avenue

Arlene M: Unfortunately, I won't be able to give the head office address without your social security number.

Thanks! I knew you would know the answer. I will be able to rest a little better now :) One question-since they say they can't accept postal mail, can they claim that they never got the bk papers and continue to try to collect? That goes for any of the pdl places actually. That is what I am afraid of.

The problem with Payday Avenue is that they are outside the U.S., so there isn't much you can do in practical terms if they violate the automatic stay. But all anyone can do is call, and the Court can sanction them if they do that after you file. If anyone sues, it automatically gets dismissed when you show the court your bankruptcy discharge. The only thing they can legally do is fight the discharge in bankruptcy court and I have never heard of a payday lender trying that, let alone succeeding.

Ok, thanks. When I was trying to settle my account with them by making payments, which they wouldnt lt me to, the guy I was dealing with did tell me that they do not have access to the postal service!!! Or email!!! These bankruptcy letters dont go out certified do they? I am doing a chapter 13 btw.

They get sent straight from the court via regular mail. Here's another address you can use - where they do accept cash payments and CAN'T stop delivery.

Dept #3675; P.O. Box 1259
Oaks, PA 19456

Forgot I had that one. It came off a collection letter I once got from Cash Transfer Centers, which is another "brand" from the same company.
