Can anyone tell me anything about allied interstate IN. They say we owe someone money but can't or won't provide any information. THey can't even pull up any info about my husband to prove that they have a claim on him.

You and your husband are well within your rights to send this company a debt validation letter, demanding that the company provide proof of the debt they say your husband owes. Send the letter via certified mail, return receipt requested, so you will have proof that you sent it and they received it.

I didnt know about the debt validation letter. That will be something we will look into doing. They told us the first time that it was someone else with the same name in a different state and thats who owed the money. We thought it was handled over a year ago and just last night we found out other wise. we never even received any letter or phone call. So it all just seems very strange to me.

Necole - with the debt validation letter (DV), they HAVE to provide details of the debt and prove that it's your husband's debt. If they can't, then they have to stop collection on it.
