Hi guys,

I first of all want to thank the forum owners for keeping this forum up and running because it has helped me in sooo many ways.

Well a couple of days ago I received the infamous phone call from a Mr Sargeant saying that someone was taking legal action against me and that I needed to call them back to settle this out of court. LOL

Anyways, needless to say I was floored!! I had no idea what the hell was going on. I just left the message and decided to see if they would call back.

Well, they called back today.. I was at the Dentist's office and just had a tooth drilled and had come home wanting to spend the rest of the day lounging around trying to get through the pain. ;)

Well I come home and my hubby had our 2 year old outside and he was pacing back and fourth, I saw him and he said "We need to talk" I was like about what.

So he tells me that "You are being charged with fraud"
I was like WHAAAAAT???? no way! I haven't done anything to even come close to being charged with fraud.

He then told me that a Mr. Sargeant called and said that I was being charged with fraud and I needed to call there legal office back immediately.

So needless to say I called them back.
Some woman secretary answered the phone and said: "I am sorry but Mr. Sargeant is busy right now and can he call you back in like 2 minutes?" (she actually said: "like 2 minutes" lol. How professional..

Right away my blinders went up. I looked at my call display and it says: "Law Office" The number of course read: 905 474 3535 whicn is a Markham, Ontario number. I am from Ontario and this place isn't too far away from where I live.

Anyways Mr Sargeant called back and this was an interesting phone call. The threats were insane!! His intimidating demeanor was crazy. He said that I had an outstanding debt with The Cash Store and I had refused payment. My outstanding debt was 1000.00.
I said absolutely no way!!! I had taken out a $200 pay day loan like a year ago. He said well thats a year full of incrued interest.

Anyways I told them that I had lost my job and was on Social Assistance and he said: "Well that's not my problem, you need to pay your debt." LOL

Needless to say I was VERY VERY scared. I felt like a criminal. He told me that the court documents had already been filed and that they were on their way to my house tomorrow. Someone from my local's sheriffs department would be coming by to drop them off. (lets see if they come)
He also continued to say the following:

1. I would be taken to court to pay the outstanding debt of $1000.00 plus court cost fee's which would equal $3,000 in total.

2. All the references I used on my application would be subpoena'd and they would all be taken to court as well.

3. They would seize all of my bank accounts and anything in my name by 12:00 NOON tomorrow.

4. They would seize all and any assets in my name: Furniture, Vehicles, etc to get back their remaining amount of debt owed.

He said that I could either hire a lawyer or represent myself in court.

Anyways, he said Do you understand? And I said: yes.
At this point in time I was sooo confused and scared.
He then abruptly hung up on me without even saying goodbye!! LOL

I decided to call back because I hadn't gotten any of my questions answered and I said Why did you hang up on me, and he said I thought our conversation was over.
I said, "Well you could have said Goodbye!"

Anyways, I then came on the web.. I WAS VERY SCARED.. I thought I was being charged with fraud. Mr.Sargant said that The Cash Store said that I intentionally did this so it was fraud... Well I was going over it in my head, and no way could it be fraud. I paid them back over 9 different times, and just kept reloaning the money. And finally I lost my job and had to go on Social Assistance.. and needless to say couldn't afford the bill.

Anyways sorry for such a long post.. Just wanted to let you know that this company is operating again. February 21, 2008 in Ontario.

If I hadn't have found this site I wouldn't have gotten any sleep tonight and would have probably been scammed out of $1000.00
