I received a summons on Monday May 2nd that IQ set a court hearing for May 12th at 9:00am.
I called and asked for a continuance because I have to put in for the time off and have my shift covered because I work in a hospital.
The court said I had to call IQ Data International. I spoke with Mr. Dale King and he asked me for the date stamp on the mailing envelope and it was mailed from Everett, WA on April 29 and received by me 5/2.
He told me no continuance that was enough time. I told him I was trying to be fair and he continued to argue with me and no continuance. I told him I would not be able to be there and he became verbally abusive so I hung up the phone. This is ridiculous.

That was really ridiculous!!! They could have given you some time considering your situation and your professional requirements. Nevertheless, as you've received a summons, you should make sure that you give a reply to it or else they will get a default judgment against you.
