How repossession would affect my score

I've got my car repossessed. I have tried to work out a plan with the lender but it didn't work out. So, the repoman has got my car.
I was wondering how it would affect my credit score. Also, would it be possible for me to buy another car with a repossession on my report?

yeah, you can buy another car but you are going to pay thru in the nose in interest plus if you have an unpaid deficieny balance...well it could be quite difficult.
