This people called me at work today stating that I have broken the law and that they are coming to arrest me. They told me that I took a payday loan and I have not paid it yet. I told them that I already paid them once and I was a long time ago. They said this was another one that I need to pay. I asked them to send me a letter to validate this new debt so I can make sure its real and they just hanged up on me.

Next they called and my wife picked up the phone (She works with me) they asked for the address and told her that they are sending me a package and to wish me good luck.

Now she is scared. What can I do about this ?

Name: Predisposition Services
Phone: (800) 918-3844
Address: unknown
Atlanta, GA 30301
File Open Date: December 2007
TOB Classification: collection agencies
BBB Accreditation: This organization is not a BBB Accredited business

This is who called you, it is a collection agency that has a habit of violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, debts are civil matters, not criminal. You cannot be charged with a crime or arrested. The only entity that broke any laws here was Predisposition Services.

I would suggest filing a complaint with your state Attorney General's office.

I MEAN THE SCARE TACTICS YEAH NEED TO STOP, & THREATS OF JAIL BUT HONESTLY WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO INVOLVE A INNOCENT PERSON IN A FAULT THAT WAS MADE BE US??? I MEAN REALLY WE ARE ALL ADULTS...

The Attorney General will evaluate the case and contact the business in question to seek a remedy, if the Attorney General believes that any laws have been violated they will pursue prosecution as allowed under state/federal statutes. This would be fdcpa and/or deceptive trade practices violation.
