I have wrote Oxford manangement services three times now asking for validation, the last time was just on march 3. in the meantime, I get a letter from them today dated March 1. It goes as follows:

This letter is to remind you of your upcoming promised payment for which is due to dell financial services. Your payment should be made payable to the above named client and returned in the pre addressed envelope...blah blah blah.

WHAT PROMISED PAYMENT?????? there has been no such thing. I have wrote dell and asked them who is holding these accounts NOW since they're getting passed around so much and then I wrote Oxford again on the 3th of this month (which I got the green slip back on today), asking what accounts they are holding and reminded them that I have asked for validation twice and included another validation request. what the heck are they talking about? what are they trying to pull here? shirley

When consumers use a service or buy some products, they become responsible to pay it back. Hence the term Promised payment is used. I think this term carries the same sense here, nothing else. The purpose of the letter is to remind your responsibility.

BTW, is this the second agency, Dell has transferred your account to? I think you have mentioned about it earlier too. it seems they have tried to validate the debt. If you have any confusion, or if you find any discrepancy, dispute it. Send your letter within 30 days. I think you know the procedure very well; hence I am not mentioning stuff like CMRRR and so on ;)

correct Stan! they were the ones that sent a photo copy page of the last six payments made on two accounts. They called my home the other day (well, actually they call every day after I have sent several written request to STOP CALLING) and listed four account numbers. Today I get this letter with one 'claim number', is how they have it written. and one amount number. So I don't know whats what now.
whats my next move Stan? in your opinion? Is it time to start negotiating a monthly payment?

no, its not all four because the amount that they're showing that I owe, isn't right-not for it to be all four. It could still be the same two that they first wrote me about a while back. I don't know why the chick on the phone the other day, listed four accounts. I hope that they write back with the info, after I had just wrote them again and I guess the letters passed each other in the mail. I'm pretty sure from looking over the amount, its two of the accounts.
I would never tell you to buzz off Tammy!!!! lol Of course I appreciate anything anyone here has to say and value their opinion.

Dispute it. You have 30 days in your hand.

You might mention about a payment plan and see if they are willing to work with you. It will accelerate the process because it's been so long you are in this mess. So it's the time now to get it cleared.

BTW, among 4 of your Dell accounts, Oxford is holding 2. What about the rest

I'm not sure who are holding the other two. Its been months and months since I heard anything, they never wrote back. It was Encore holding them and thats who I heard from last on the other two. I just sent them a CMRRR last week, along with Dell, trying to find out who has what! I also just sent Oxford a CMRRR last week as well, guess it crossed paths with the letter I got today.
On the letter I have today, it doesn't offer me the 30 days dispute time, although I am still requesting validation (3 TIMES NOW). they just said if I have any questions do not hesitate to contact their office...and it has their fax number/phone number. should I fax them something? i just got a fax machine, haven't even used it yet. shirley
