HEY EVERYONE:) I am new to this forum, and I wanted to say hi to everyone out there. Well, along with that, let me also tell all of you that I am a loan officer for a mortgage broker and I do Pennsylvania and Virginia. So anyone with questions pertaining to loans or anything for that matter feel free to email or post anything to my topic/thread.

ALSO.... I have a question for you all that are debt/credit repair savvy...... I am thinking of going with, well I am going with this company called RMCN(repairmycreditnow.com) and they pretty much remove old and delinquent accounts no matter what the status is..... QUESTION: Has anyone else done this or worked with this company? I have heard real results and seen the results, but I still want more:) THANKS....

Hi jessking

Welcome to the forums.

It is always beneficial repairing the bad credit appearing in your file. Since your file is the most important and prestigious financial document, you need to give it a better view to your future lenders.

But I will like to put one thing here that accurate negative information has a specific reporting time as per the laws of Fair Credit Reporting Act. It allows a 7 years reporting time in the credit report. It cannot be removed in anyway unless the Federal laws authorize it. Any private company which offers credit repair packages to the consumers claiming that the negative remarks can be removed from the credit report irrespective of the status is working against the law. You can improve your own credit file by repairing the bad credit but negative information cannot be removed by anyone except the federal bureaus.

So your saying if these people say they can remove these negative accounts, that it is indeed false information? I mean they are bonded, and I have seen these other people's credit reports showing the accounts deleted. I know for a fact that if they do remove something, in a short period of time it may be placed back on my report for whatever reasoning the bureau might have. So, I really don't know what to do!?

***CANT YOU CALL THE BUREAU AND HAVE THEM REMOVE IT FOR THEIR FEE IF THE ACCOUNT WAS PAID IN FULL OR SETTLED? I HAVE THIS INFO I REQUESTED FROM EQUIFAX AND IT EXPLAINS INFO ABOUT THE "EXPEDITED CONSUMER DISPUTE PROCESS" WHICH IS SOMETHING THAT ALLOWS EQUIFAX MORTGAGE SERVICES TO FORWARD DOCUMENTATION TO ANY OR ALL OF THE THREE BUREAUS TO FACILITATE THE CORRECTION OF POTENTIAL ERRORS ON THE CONSUMER CREDIT FILE WITHIN A 72 HOUR TIME FRAME INSTEAD OF WAITING THE USUAL 30DAYS.

Let me know what you think of this, anyone else please feel free to include your opinions and thoughts as well:)

Any private financial company can only update your accounts but won't be legally allowed to delete it from the credit report. They can update the file with 'paid' 'paid as agreed' 'settled' and likewise but they can't remove negative items like 'judgments', 'bills in collections', 'foreclosures', 'charge off' etc. It entirely needs a legal approach and 7 years is the reporting time as per the FCRA laws. The reporting time begins from the date the account became last delinquent.

It may again be a violation of the FCRA law if any information once removed is inserted back on your credit file without legitimate cause and without notifying you in writing within 5 business days. For this, you also have your rights under the FCRA laws to take legal actions against the credit bureaus.

It's a pleasure to have you in this community and talking about personal interests, I admire your profession. I also wished to be a loan office some time back but didn't have the required knowledge.

It will be a great idea if you can share some knowledge about your profession with us. Most of our community members have some problems on this subject and I hope your guidance will be mostly required.

Do you mind shedding some more light in your field? :)

When you are using the Quick Reply option while logged in, you won't get the username field. It will only appear when you are not signed up in the forums.

As Roxette pointed, we will be glad if you can share your professional experiences with the community. Some of our members request information on how to approach it. The whole community will be appreciating your sharing some experiences. :D

Information can be removed from bureau reports. It is done all the time. According to the fair credit reporting act all fields on a credit report must be accurate. If the data is not accurate,it must be corrected. Normally, you dispute with credit bureau and they contact the data furnisher. The data furnisher has three options.one data is correct-verified,two investigate and correct tradeline, and three delete their tradeline completely. All data furnishers and bureaus must comply with the fcra or face possible legal action for not complying.
