My credit file is showing some accounts in charge off. Can I have them deleted from my file? I am trying to clear up my credit and looking ways to clear my credit. Any suggestions!!

Oliver,

If the debt has been charged off since quite a long time, you need to check the statutes of limitations as per your state before you make any payment arrangements. This will be determined by the date of last activity that took place in your account.

If the debt is past the SOL period, you can't be forced to pay the said debt in legal terms. But paying it off will be preferable in order to improve your credit identity.

Try a consolidation program as it will ensure regular payments to your outstanding debt. Once the payments are complete, your accounts will be shown as paid in your file and you will be able to renew your credit worthiness.

The benefits of this program have been summarized in the page given below. Please have a look here

The consultant will place a call to you as soon as they have picked your info.
