Has anyone heard of this company? I just got a letter from them I was wondering if they are legit or not? Thanks!

The company called me in regards to my father. They called me on MY CELL PHONE! So some reason they had it. When I called them back. I got nothing but voicemail. I went through 5 or 6 extensions because I was trying to get ahold of a human. Funally left a message on a manager's voicemail who mind you never called me back. I called them today and they would not give me any info because they wanted to speak to my father. Which I figured would happen, but if they are going to call me then they need to tell me what is going on and who they are and what they do before I relay any message to my father.

This is a new one. Received a voice mail from "Mr. Porter" stating that I was used as a reference when my Mom, of all people, applied for a job. This was weird knowing my Mom is not looking for work and has not been in some time. He told me to give her the number and have her call back. Can they even do this???

Yep they can. they can not tell anyone but the debtor the reason for the real phone call. I had a collector that always called my fathers house because they did not have a number for me. When he finally reproted them they quit calling and started on my other relatives. I think this is ruthless and ignorant but they seem to like these route. They want to harrass and embarrass you into paying a debt.

Ok, apparently Cash Advance sent my defaulted loan to Account Receivable Management of FL. A mister Don Porter @ 877-726-8505 ext 209 wants to settle the loan. He said I owed $400.00 but would settle for .70 cent on the dollar making it $290.00. He said that they use to be United Legal Corp but now they are legal company now as Account Receivable Management of FL. I told him that I had just sent Cash Advance Network an email and was corresponding with them but he claimed they sold it to them to handle now. What do I do? I am suppose to call him back tomorrow with a a good faith payment that I can put on a Prepaid Visa Card.
I think this is also going to happen with Paycheck Today.
Help!!!

NO, dont give them one red cent until they give you documentation in writing of what you owe. I supposedly owed $400 to Cash Advance Network but they are trying to make me pay $920 and who knows if this company is even legit since there are nothing but bad things said about them at the BBB and other online sources. Let them keep calling, ignore their calls and if need be, contact an attorney!

Hey. Don't be confused between Accounts Receivable Management of Florida and the one in New Jersey.

They are two different companies. I know because they have different owners and different phone numbers.

is there a reason to sue you?sounds like you have something to be afraid of.if you are saying the info and owners are different you should have nothing to worry about, but your response says it all....bottomfeeder.

It's getting annoying, and driving me crazy....
They're looking for a person called "Rich.. G." and I'm not.
When I receive the call, computerized message says "if you're RG, then press 1, if not, just hang up." I did hang up a few times, and they're keep calling me. So, one of my co-workers suggest that just push "1," so you can speak to a PERSON.
The call lost because nobody answered. I called them back and left a message that I'm not RG, and stop calling my cell.
It's just a stupid system.

I also received numerous phone calls from Account Receivable Management of Florida. For another person..... on my home phone and cellphone. I returned a call to them questioning the calls..... they continuously asked for my phone numbers and after many moments...I told them you called me and should have my phone number. They hung up on me! Strange? I think so.....beware!

I believe they are a new collections company in Jacksonville. I see they just posted several positions up for immediate hire on a job website. So they must be legit.

I have been receiving all sorts of phone call since last yer when I applied for, but never defaulted on, any payday loans. I have performed my due diligence and always check with the various agencies mentioned on the scam/ripoff websites. AMR called about a loan I swore I had paid. Ms. Smith mentioned that they mailed a letter 2 weeks ago, confirmed my address, but of course I knew I didnt receive it. I rushed home to check, nothing there. I told that in the US a formal collection letter needs to be sent to the debtor before anyt collection processes could take place. She then emailed me the following letter:

Looks legit, huh. They told me I can settle on a past due $300 loan for $220. Sorry to admit I did fall for this one:evil:. The company looked like a reputable collection agency and although I couldnt find the loan, I paid. They told me they would send the payday loan a settlement letter and when I contacted the payday loan center (myfastpayday.com) they were reluctant to advise me if I had an outstanding loan and if they work with ARM. I haven't received any correspondence nor have any of my attempts to contact AMR been returned. All seems a bit fishy to me. PLEASE be careful and dont make the same mistake as me. It looks like they will now email authentic collection letters.

sorry but nothing legit is ever done via email.per the FDCPA a colllector must mail(not email)collection letters.any email should be used as part of an AG complaint.i have been sent alot of stupid sh*t via email.supposed court papers, letters from attorney's,supposed arrest warrants.i mean nothing legit in these instances is sent via email.if it isn't in hard form via USPS it is from a bottomfeeder that should be reported, not paid.
