Florida law on pay day loans

No only government agensies can do this IE, childsupport, or IRS they can only report it to your credit Report and try and take out a judgement. I will never take another look at these sharks again.

if i closed my bank account after making a payday loan, (my lawyer recommended this even before I start bankruptcy) and a the payday place calls my work saying I committed fraud -is this true? I have asked them to stop calling my job and they keep doing so. Isn't it illegal for them to contact me at work?

What are panel charges? If I have requested a copy of the original loan and they have declined to provide this information, can legal action be taken? I don't even know what company is actually saying I owe them as gogetcash.com is a lender finder, not an actual company. Just wanted a couple opinions on what I should do about this email communication I received; I have received no other communication to verify if this is a real debt or not. As you can see, they claim I took a loan out in 2008. Any comments/suggestions are appreciated!

i have recieved the same threats..these indian guys from a law firm in PA saying there will be a warrent for my arrest immedietly if i dont pay it in full..

[COLOR=black]Don't worry they cannot have you arrested. I have been receiving these calls for about a month now stating that they are going to have me arrested and fired if I do not pay by such time. I have fun with them and call them back after I was supposed to be arrested and ask why I still have to wait. I have even given them the Broward county sheriff’s office and Plantation police department numbers; of course I have already filed police reports on them, to expedite my arrest but still nothing. As for my work I let my HR department know that I have been the victim of identity fraud and that I have revoked any and all wage assignments that may be presented. So far to date no one has tried to contact them but we will see.[/COLOR]

Next time they call ask for an address and then send them a debt validation with a cease and desist order.  Also file a complaint with the Florida Office of Financial Regulation on the collection agency.  Most likely this is a scam trying to scare you into paying them something, don't listen to them.

I have unknown numbers calling me claiming to be a collector and If I don't pay 100 every other week there filing papers saying I defaulted on a payday loan I never revived anything saying a payday loan went through and my payment sch yes I closed my other bank account cause I thought I was being scammed now I'm scared something's going to happen and I'm gonna be taken away from my kids I live in Florida and this was a USA payday loan what do I do and am I in any serious trouble
