So I just finally worked up the courage to check my credit report - Come to find out I have 55 accounts Charged off. Two of which were my fault, the rest are through fraud. I believed that this fraud was taken care of, which it wasn't - (occured about 3 years ago). I call Wells Fargo, and they say I need my account number from that time. I can't seem to find it anywhere. I don't know what to do, as finally I am now in a position to pay some things off and get everything resolved. I don't even know where to start... :(

Blazinhardy,

55 accounts!!! Oh my god!! And even worse all with fraudulent activities.

blazinhardy, take control of this. This has already hurt your credit file severely and if not taken proper care, it will deny scope of credit in the future.

Contact the fraud department of the three credit bureaus. They will put a fraud alert and your information will be shared within them.

Anybody trying to open new accounts and doing fraud activities with your name will be brought open and he will be punished.

Contact your creditors individually and explain the situation. They are the ones who will portray a good view to your credit file and on this thought; they will correspond with the bureaus.

Before you contact the creditors, file a complaint at the nearest sheriff's department. Attest this affidavit along with your report sent to the credit bureaus and then approach each creditor individually.

All the repairs will be hopefully done by the credit bureaus and they will send you the report after modification. But if you involve yourself individually in this picture with the extra zeal, the process will be faster.

Remember, the faster you do the repair to your bad credit, the quicker you will be able to regain your lost financial worthiness.

I have contacted the 3 bureaus, but since that time (I know who stole my information, he's now in Mexico living with family) I have had no issues with ID theft or anything of the sort. The only creditor is Wells Fargo, who unfortunately keeps giving me the runaround. I will continue trying though, and thank you for your support! :)

Have not thought about that... it was so long ago I don't know if the police report would still render valid? I suppose I can give it a shot...
