SHAME ON YOU IF YOUR READING THIS! We are keeping our eyes out now, and if you dont leave we will sniff you out!

That idea will this forum. Listen everyone it comes with the territory. In all forums and industries there will always be spammers, trolls, and solicitations. Can you imagine if everyone were to publically post for ever soliciation they'll recieve - this site would be half counseling/advice and half public post witch hunts. People just need to realize to do their due diligence.

i agree that it would be best to have people register. It may reduce the amount of duplicate posts, and solicitors. It seems to be getting way out of hand. And i feel alot of these posts are posted by the companies to bring attention to thier company. I know you all know the duplicate posts of a same company like 4 posts on a page. its been pretty busy with this type of non sense lately. I continue to post on them though because you never know when the actual person needing help which post they will look at. i hope this all makes sense i feel like im rambling nonsense! but it makes sence in my little brain anyhow!

Paul can you possibly discuss this with Vikas and Jason to see if this is a change that could be made? Like how there is the members only page? Why not have them all as viewable to everyone, but postings allowed by members only? And then have one "guest page" where anyone could post, that would be a catch-all type of area?

the pudding - love my things: "any company i would suggest you check out fully. Provanta happens to be the one that i used and had pretty good luck with them, they did as they said. But there are others i have heard good things about too, as long as you are comfortable with your decision and stick to it, you will be fine! good luck! remember to check out bbb for resolved complaints, tasc, iapda i hear is a new place to check, and google many different ways. if you see complaints is it comming from the creditors, or the customer, what are thier complaints, etc. good luck! "

That is hardly a solicitation, she was trying to be helpful in responding to a request.

And I don't think forcing everyone to sign up is going to help. Spam and trolls are the biggest complaint and problem in the cyber world. Outside you have junk mail, bulletin boards, telemarketers, salesmen, beggars, etc, etc. No way to avoid them. You can get a free email account and put your name as "John Doe" and be just as mysterious as any "Guest".

first of all i NEVER PRIVATE MESSAGE ANYONE unless they ask for information from me privately. and even then i dont really pursuade anyone to use a particular company. I give only facts. People need to make thier own decisions on their finances and i agree that there other good companies out there too. You just have to find them. I mearly give info on the one that i used if asked. I never just volunteer it.

thanks for comming to my rescue chrys.

i believe that is the difference. I never just volunteer the info. If asked, i give them the answers, but i never tell people who they should use, or what way they should go about thier debt, i may suggest what i think should be the best, but only that individual knows what thier personal finances are and what they are the most comfortable with. Solicitation is when you keep pounding a certain company or program for gain. Trust me i have nothing to gain i only wish to help by sharing my story,

I hope me and frogpatches posts here will clear up the mis understanding.

This post was created because someone was pm people about a certain company without ever asking for the information. it was forced upon them. that is the difference.

Soliciting and suggesting walk a fine line. If someone asks " Who is the best company out there?" and you suggest a company - that's a solication/suggestion. A cigar is a cigar is a cigar frogpatch and lovemythings. And besides that how do we know you have nothing to gain, we don't know you. For all we know your friend owns the company.

first of all guest, if you follow any of my posts i never answer those questions as to who is the best company, or what company should i choose, my reponses are to find out what companies are out there and start googling and follow your research through bbb, tasc, etc. I never offer who i have used in a post and if i recall, i have never heard frogpatch offer that either. When people ask me who i used i would tell them. but i also caution that it has been 5 years scince i have used the company and some things may have changed. That they should still follow through with the research even though i used that company.

Frankly you dont know us, your right. So why would you not still do your research? why would you just join a company because someone else did? I wouldnt. I would still do the homework involved because there is alot of solicitation here even though there shouldnt be.

This will probably be the last time i entertain you guest, because seriously everyone who spends any amount of time on this forum can see the solicitation a mile away and trust me the moderators would have no issues giving us the boot if they felt we were doing so. There is a difference and i dont suggest anything. I used settlement but have also told people consolidation is best if you can swing it. I have also told people that maybe bk is there best option. I offer help from my own personal experience as to what happend in my own situation and what happend to me, so that others can avoid making the mistakes that i have.

That is probably my guess as to why frogpatch has advice and info on payday loans. he probably has a experience. You can see the ones a mile away that are here for good reasons vs ones that are here to make a buck.

so "guest" im not usually rude, but i could tell you what you could do with your cigar if the moderators would not delete it. so have a nice day

People join companies all the time based on what other people say, it's called referrals. On a different note I have read your posts, and they're very informative and necessary to this forum so keep it up, just continue to stay unbiased.

thank you, and i would hope that no one would join a company based soley on what one person says. The whole idea hear is to not solicit but to direct people in the right direction. and that is what i try to do. I never tell anyone who they should use. and just because i used a particular company does not mean that you should or that things havent changed scince i have been there. Do your research properly and that is all we try to do here is keep people informed as to whats going on in the world to others dealing with debt so that others can stay clear of that particular path.
