We all seem to get wrapped up in the party and forget the we are celebrating our freedom and those that defend it!

Indeed. That is also what inspired my last blog post.

We have the right to not only take these bottom feeders and rude collection agencies to court, we get paid $1000 (plus possible court costs and attorney fees) just for doing so (of course it has to be proven to be an FDCPA violation)!

Throughout history, people have had their children sold into slavery to pay off debt, or themselves thrown in a debtor's prison to rot or work like a dog until the debt is paid off.

But, because of these fine people who sacrificed their lives for us - cut down in their prime in the pursuit of the defense of Justice - we owe it not only to them, but to ourselves, to stand with them and fight the daily slings and arrows that threaten our freedoms - the same freedoms that they have soaked the ground in blood for.

They have given - and continue to give - their blood for us to have these rights, and to roll over and allow these DC & JDBs to run roughshod over our Federally mandated rights (and the Constitutional right to due process under the Law) is a slap in the face to their memory.
