Movie Review: Dan in Real Life and Lars and the Real Girl.

Lars in the Real Girl. This is a tragic tale that has a happy ending. Lars is a very nice emotionally troubled man who doesn't have the ability to connect with other people. Shortly into the movie he learns from a coworker about "real dolls" from an adult website and eventually orders on. Not for any nefarious reasons as Lars's girl is very religious and a missionary. His family and community are at first unsupportive in this unhealthy attachment to the doll but everyone soon shows their support quickly.
I give this movie a B.
Dan in Real Life. Everyone loves the dependable Dan who's wife died before her time, she was the love of his life. It's the story of a man who is trying to hold onto the family he has while falling in love with a woman who later turns out to be his brother's girlfriend. The movie is funny and entertaining to watch Dan fight himself on his feelings for the girlfriend. Dan expects himself to be perfect but eventially will own up to his mistakes to bring his family together.
I give this movie a B+ because I love Steve.
