When I called the number, it stated Buckeye CheckCashing Service
When I called the number, it stated Buckeye CheckCashing Services in Ohio.
When I mentioned I don't recall ever doing business with Buckeye, the rep stated she works for Cash Doctors (now that I know!) but Cash Doctors is based out of Utah. So why are they using Ohio service?

Well well, they threatened me with the wage garnishment after I told them I can not make the payment in full right now. Oh...okay, you wanna play with me?! When I informed them of my rights and how the threats are illegal, Butch (yes thats his name) changed his tune and denied the threats. I politely informed him that since I am using the relay system to communicate with him, I will have the copy of the converstation when the phone call ended. I scrolled up and it clearly stated "I will have to adminster the wage garnishment against you" . Butch got nervous and said he did not mean it. Then he said he will accept my orginal plan of paying 50 dollars on the 12th via money gram (seee....that was not so hard). He said he will, per my request, send me the itemized statement before the 12th or I will not pay without seeing the statement.
Funny thing is when I was gtting ready to sign off, he said for the future phone calls or arrangments, to contact him DIRECTLY. Meanwhile, he will ceist any communication with me until I receive the itemized statement and he receives the payment on the 12th. In his words, "I like you because you are a strong woman" . I hope to god that Butch does not develop a crush on me ;)

I checked the Cash Doctors website and its physical address is based out of Utah. So why are they using Buckeye CheckCashing Services in Ohio? Is Buckeye a collection agency? I only defaulted on Cash Doctors account last Thursday!! Is it normal for the collection process to be this quick?

sapphiredreams-------YOU GO GET EM! When mine went into collection, I received a letter at home stating they were now collecting for such and such. Just like my call from Magnum who now since I am in default knows themselves as Langhorn Law. I guess they think they can call themselves anything or affilate themselves to other loan centers in other states. From what I have seen, anyting is possible. My calls started one week after default.
