I recently joined and am trying to make a new start for the New Year with my debt and credit problems. I have never owned a home but have tons of other debt Any suggestions on where to start with debt consolidation. How do you know when it is right.

Dreeves,

Welcome to debt consolidation care forums :) It's not necessary to put any collateral to enter into debt consolidation program. Once you enter all your contact information in the sign up form of this site, you get started. A consultant from one of the best debt consolidation companies in your locality would be calling you in a couple of days.

This consultant will first analyze your financial status and work out a suitable payment plan. He will then deal with your creditors on your behalf and try to bring the situation in your favor.

You can enter into debt consolidation program anytime. However, it's better to enter into consolidation program before you fall behind with your payments and your accounts are over to collection agencies.

Hi dreeves

Welcome to the forums.

Take a free counseling and discuss your financial problems with the consultant. He will analyze your financial situation and offer you suitable repayment plans. The total amount of debt will also be reduced eliminating the financial charges and the late fees.

Be dedicated in making the monthly payments because this is most important while you are in the program. If you miss any of them, you are likely to miss the benefits offer to you now in the later stage.

After you have paid all your debts, the creditor will update your accounts with the bureaus and this will give a positive view to your future lenders. Your credit scores will also enhance after you pay off the debt accounts one by one.
