Hey there lendag...
First of all, have you talked to your mortgage company at all? It might be wise to tell them about your problems and see if they can defer some payments or refinance them back into the mortgage for you. The last thing they want to do is foreclose..it costs them more money to do that.
Your car loan company may do the same thing..when I was having problems I called them and they were able to defer at least a month's payment for me. They won't tell you that, of course, but they may do it for you.
Can the ex do without for a while?
As for the pdl, forget about them for awhile, call them and tell them you can't pay right now try to make other arrangements, and don't allow them to debit your account, or better yet...get close your checking account.
Don't look at the whole picture, it will just upset you.
Take one thing at a time..first your mortgage..get that straightened out first and foremost!
But call everyone and tell them what's going on, don't just ignore it. You'll be surprised when you get someone that's sympathetic to your problems and they just may help you!
Good luck and let us know what happens!
By the way...register here and a counselor will call you. They may have some good insight as well. It's free too!

We are trying to talk to the bank. but because we have been behind before they don't want to work with us any more...we have always caught our payments up..we just can't seem to make ends meet..ever since we agreed to buy his ex-wifes share it has put us in a bind. but we had no choice but to buy her share she is very hard to have to deal with..she is making our life unbearable. Me not working has made things worst for us and fighting to get the insurance to pay the medical bills is getting more then I can handle. We have to get our bills back in order I just don't know how to do that. all our other bills need to be payed to ( light bill, phone bill, water bill) I will talk to the bank and see if they will defer the one payment are even refinance it back into the mortgage I did not know you could do that...this is my first mortgage and I have a lot to learn...Thank you for your help..

I talked to my mortgage company today..they where not able to defer my payments but they said I could pay what I could on the note every week to get it caught up..they said they would not send a demand letter are try to foreclose. as long as I was trying to pay something on the loan. I only owe them 7,428.00. and I also made arrangments on all the other bills I owe..I will go tomorrow to talk to the payday loan people..they ofter to let me pick up the checks one at a time every two weeks there are 3 checks..one for 100.00 one for 200.00 and one for 300.00..anyone have some advice on how to handle the pay day loan people? So I don't mess up and make a bad deal with them.
