Thank you for your reply. Yes, I do have proof of all the payments, my bank provided proof all the payments I have made to them via the ACH's from my account. I am going to file a complaint with the CA CDC right now. I never heard from them until I received that e-mail, they also called my workplace and told them I was a fraud! yes, i think $1,225 is enough and they say I still owe $335.00!!I know this is against Ca law. Again thanks & let me know if you call them appreciate it-,

I know it is frustrating dealing with them, but if i were you i would not pay them anything more. I myself am having problems with you. They really are a bunch of crooks. I closed my checking account because of the payday nightmare i was in. The some how got access to my new one and kkep taking deductions. I keep disputing them with my bank and i have got my money bach each time. I have tried to reason with them and i even threatened them back since i never authorized them to deduct from the new account. I told them they could sue me and i would sue them back. They will try anything to get you to pay. Don't sweat it!

Melanie...

Relax...

How much work do you really think they will put into
their "investigation?" None! Do you know why?

1) It's only for a $300.00 debt,You've already paid
these parasites 4x that amount. So where's the fraud?
a)They would have to prove fraud beyond a reasonable doubt. It would not be them who decide it's fraud,it would be law enforcement.
2)Any type of investigation would be way too expensive for even a hint of one.

Melanie I know that this particular company is sensitive to letters to any AG,especially in your state.

Even if that went to the expense of court, they will have to do it in your state, which would not be in their best interest!

In short what one can do is....

1)C&D letter preventing them from contacting your place of employment.Restrict them to Email or US mail only.
2)Hold on to all Emails they send, especially the ones that contain threats;IE:fraud. You will need this if you decide to pursue the matter.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Good Luck!

Thank you all so much, this has really helped me to relax. You can see how streesed I was by how many spelling mistakes I made in my original post. So far I have filed a complaint with the CA AG, have my complaint ready to mail to the CA CDC, (they are great, I called them and the person I spoke with was almost as mad as about it as I am)and have a list with everything I plan to say to Mr. Mitchell when he calls me again as I'm sure he will. All of you are wonderful, power to the people!

I feel your pain! I made the mistake of taking out 5 payday loans due to hard financial times. I paid all of them 10x over (700% interest) and all they did was to keep "refinancing" the loan. That's what happens if you can't pay them back right away or within a few weeks. It's never ending (example: if you borrow $300, if you don't pay it back right away, you could end up paying every month with high interest, so you'd actually end up paying over $1000 to borrow $300!)

Beware of Nationwide Cash and Ameriloan. I've reported them to the NYS Attorney General's Office, due to the illegal amount of interest that they charge on these loans. Meanwhile, I accidentially went into an email I received for another payday loan, and guess what? Just by going there, Nationwide (which was doing business under another name!) got my information somehow and withdrew $400 out of my checking account. I had to go to the Bank and dispute the charges. This company must be doing business under various names, so be warned.

I hope this helps you out.

Diane

Don't let them threaten you - it's illegal in most states and they'll get major legal action

I just seen all thse posts on here! The same thing happened to me just last week. I took out a payday loan with a company and they sold my info to nationwide. then nationwide took $400 out of my account without me authorizing it, saying i owed them form 4 yrs ago, threatened to sue if i didnt pay them, cause the ach's were returned considering i didnt have 400 in my account. then on top of it they caused me $200 in returned fees. please ppl, do not do business with these crooks. they will screw you over enormously. i just couldnt believe they were able to just take my money without my consent!
