Anyone know (800) 925-6140?

Does anyone know the number (800) 925-6140? The message they left, no company name, freaked me out. Threatening.


When I called the number, it sound like they said they were National Enterprise System. If that is who they were then this is info I got from the Better Business Bureau about them:

Complaints generally allege the company makes continuous calls seeking payment of debts acknowledged by the consumer. Complaints have also alleged the company does not return phone calls, honor requests to stop calling or to provide information requested by the consumer. In addition, many consumers allege company representatives are rude and threatening in their collection attempts.



This collection company is based in Ohio.

I am very upset by all this. Yes I have debt and yes I am about to declare bankruptcy. They have called me twice daily leaving nasty messages. Once they even left my social security number on my machine. Needless to say when I visit the lawyer I will be asking if that was legal and what I can do about it.

They have been continuing to call me despite me asking them not to and disputing the claim. They have threatened and lied they call about 10 times a day no joke they also call my cell phone. The one time I tried speaking with them I was assulted by name calling and made fun of. Even though it hurts me i will not deal with them. I will wait it out then take action against them.

I don't owe anybody one red cent and live my life in such a way that is centered around the total avoidance of all possibilities of debt and yet these clowns are starting to call me now. They must be related to the other similarly disreputable collection company named Allied Interstate at number 800-791-3266 that also calls multiple times a day. The difference is that AI calls and leaves no message on the answering machine (and I do not answer them either) but their calls register on caller ID. This other company does not register on caller ID but leaves messages telling the recipient to call 800-925-6140. AI was calling me up to several times a day but their calls suddenly stopped and the calls telling me to call 800-925-6140 began in their place. They can also not claim to be calling about some previous resident at this address as AI is often reported to do because I have lived here for the past 15 years. They are all a bunch of crooked vultures in my books.

I got a call from them trying to collect what they claim I woe credit card from 2003 .
I don't remember owe anything neither I received any demand latter from the card company in the pass .
California statute of limitations 2 years so I guess they have to live with it .

My neighbor just knocked on my door, and said she has been getting 10-15 calls a day from this number asking for me or where to find me. They said I owe a dept and are trying to collect. I was so embarrassed this is for a card I owed in 2000 I think I need a lawyer or something because they will not stop calling even after a cease and desist letter.
