Hi Cyndy welcome to the boards many will offer grat advice here so keep posting. I am not clear on whether you pawned your car title and if so I would read the contract to see what kind of legal leg you have to stand on if this is an auto finance contract, most auto contracts state that they can repo the auto if you do not fullfill your end of the deal so i would read the fine print but I would also check with your respective states repo laws. I hope someone will chime in when it comes to car title pawn as I never did this so i have no experience with it myself
The loan company can repossess your vehicle even if you are one
The loan company can repossess your vehicle even if you are one day late. Unfortunately, they don't need to notify you about their actions. You as well as the title company have to abide by the terms and conditions signed in the contract. Every state has some general laws on repossession. If the creditor tries to breach the peace, you can take them to the court. The FTC website has some general facts for consumers going through Vehicle Repossession
