Loan for debt/School

This question is on behalf of my girlfriend. She has about a little less than $15K in debt and wanted to go back to school to finish the less than 2 years she has left to get her degree. She works full time as well but with her debt she has no funds to pay for school. She tried to get a loan for $25K through wells fargo so she can pay her debt off and pay for school but she got denied. Are there any other options outthere for her? She'd like to not have to get a cosigner if possible.

Reggie - has your girlfriend checked out any of the grant or scholarship programs? Financial Aid? There are quite a few options open to her, other than taking out a loan. Have her check with the Financial Aid office at the school she wants to attend - they should be able to help.

There might be certain criteria with every financial aid, but your girlfriend will be able to qualify because their services are offered to the people in need. For those who cannot afford to pay anything, these services are offered free of cost. You must check with each services and find the suitable one.

Another option for your girlfriend is consolidating the debts under one payment. She may be able to afford the interest rate offered in this program. Sit with a debt counselor and figure out the best options suitable for her.
