My score is around 630, I havent really had much credit in the past, everyone says your credit score isn't bad its just new/weak. I'm trying to get approved for a $11,000 loan with no luck, is there any place that could help get me approved? I tried Prosper.com. Thank you

Well.......I have low credit (598), however, it's climbing again ( thankgoodness). I financed a vehicle through Citifinancial a few years ago. It's a good, used vehicle. I don't know if you're looking for a used or new one. But, just some advice...Citi has been great to work with. You may want to try them. There % rate is a bit higher if your credit is low.

Your welcome. I'm sure Citifinancial can help you some way. Just look on the computer to see which one is closer to you.

I'm very surprised they denied you. They usually work with those with bad/low credit. I'm sorry about that. Gosh. I hope there is someone who can help you. Please...give me an 'update' if you find someone/company.

I know how you're feeling. 2 years ago, I had barely any credit history at all, so without anything negative, my score was only about 664. Luckily, with 2k down I got financing through Wachovia bank.

Just this last September, I was in a really bad car wreck and my Jeep was totaled. I was horrified because even though I still have nothing negative on my credit history, my score has dropped to about 590 because in those 2 years, I have foolishly incurred almost 30k in revolving debt just by grabbing every credit line that was dangled in front of me and running them up on wasteful things. Anyway, with that working against me and the fact that this was the worst time in recent decades to rely on credit for a big ticket purchase, I thought I was in a lot of trouble. Sure enough, more than 9 different credit establishments turned me down. The only one who would finance me was...dun dun, Wachovia bank, who had financed my previous purchase and was, in fact, in the process of receiving a settlement check from my insurance company for "their" wrecked vehicle.

I think THE ONLY reason Wachovia financed me again was because I had a 2 year payment history with them of full, on-time payments. I'm so glad that no matter how I struggled with payday loans, bad installment loans, and my ever-growing debt, I always made sure that my car payment was right on time. Otherwise, I'm pretty sure I would still be without a car at this moment. However, they did knock me upside the head a bit. The original Jeep they financed at 9.9% for me 2 years ago. Now, 2 years later, even though I was current with them and a customer in good standing, they set my apr at 16.9% Just goes to show you how much the size of your debt and the current recession affects lenders and borrowers.

But I'm sorry, that little story doesn't really help you out :) I have never worked with them personally, nor known anyone who has, but what about that company that does all the commercials on TV about being the last hope for those looking for a car loan?

You can apply on their website:

Good luck! Please keep us updated![/url]
