Auto accident was my fault, any sort of valid reason to plead not guilty?

I got recently in a traffic vehicle accident, considerably little, but I rear-ended someone. I was reported for Failure To Keep Assured Clear Distance. Possibly there is any reason I shouldn't just plead guilty and pay the fine? It seems like pretty cut-and-dry.

Hi!
Welcome to the forums!
If you have really failed to maintain the assured clear distance, then I don't think you can do much about it. You'll have to pay the fine. However, if you're really not guilty, then you should defend yourself. You can also contact a lawyer. He can tell you how to deal with the situation.
