I found a car on ebay that I wanted to purchase. To be safe I went thru a local car dealership and paid them 2,500 to process the financing. The car dealership obtained the loan fradulently. I have no car, no money, no title and a 25,000 auto loan. I did sign the papers for the loan, however I did not know it was processed fraudulently. I can not afford to make the payment and I do not feel responsible for this loan. The credit union is threathening to garnish my wages and I am on the brink of filing for bankruptcy. Can someone help me?????

You can assert any defenses you would have against the dealer to the lender as well. Basically meaning, if you never actually received the goods, you have a valid defense against that lender.

Discuss this with the lender and make them aware they they bought a bogus deal from the dealership. You can also file complaints with the Secretary of State Police and the AG.

As a lender, I've had bogus car dealerships send me contracts for cars that didn't even exist. When that happens, we go after and sue the dealer for our money back.
