lien on house fro credit card not on my name .late wife's

my wifw passed away 4 years ago.she had a bunch of credit cards i didn't know about, i paid off what i could my name was not on any. i got something on the mial wanting to settle or they put a lien on my house .her name was removed from the bank deed.i don't want to pay. hwat will happen the credit was for $8000.00
