I am thinking to sell my house. My house needs some urgent repairs. One of my friends told me to do the necessary repairs before selling the house. Thereby I can sell the house at the market price. What should I do? Should I sell the house without repairing it or after repairing it?




If your house is in a very poor condition, then it won't fetch you much money. Most buyers will not be interested in purchasing a tattered house. I think it will be better to do some repairs on your house so that you can sell your house. Inspect the general conditions of the houses, which are up for sale. Check whether your home's condition is better or worse than them. This will help you have an idea about the fair market value of the houses in your locality, impact of repairs on house prices, buyers's interest, etc. Thereby you can have an idea about whether you need to do the repairs.
