are there any GOOD payday loan companies?

I need to make a $500 payday advance. I get paid on Nov 30. I will have no trouble covering the pay back, but after reading some of these threads, I am concerned about getting hooked up with an illegal company with all their bad behaviors.

How do I find a legitimate company that won't mess with me?

The only companies that are legal are the ones licensed in your state, almost all of those would be a storefront lender. DO NOT take out an internet loan!!!!!

But is there any other way of getting a small loan instead of a payday loan? From a family member, a credit union or your bank. I just hate to see you have to pay all of that interest and then get messed up with a payday loan. If you need the money for a bill, have you contacted them to see if they would give you a couple days longer?
