With this down fall on economy, job continues to deteriorate more home continues to go into foreclosure, think twice before you hire any firm to do your loan modification. I myself and knows others had made some big mistake retaining a firm to do ours loan modification. Keep in mind No firm can guaranteed you 100% outcome; if they do than negotiate tell them you willing to pay 25% front and the balance paid in full when the job is done. Never pay a full amount up front..you dont need to take any risk, you have enough on your hands, if they want your money than let them go to work and take that risk. I personally lost 4000 dollars to a law firm which I thought hiring a Law firm is my best interest but that not the case. Remember that old saying, if it sound to good to be true than is not. If you think you have found the right firm to do the job, think again and investigate using internet, I really wish I did my home work but now Im paying for it. Internet is your best friends, the chances is are someone out there may already experienced what you fixing to do your self. Dont be a sucker to a suckers, there many others options out there keeping you in you home beside getting scams. Keep in mind not all loans are made equals nor all can be modified, is not up to the lenders to decide to approved your loan modification, is all up to the invester to decide. Dont believe the sell pitch and the hypes, some of them are fly by night and others does the work but cant get it modified, eventhough they did the work they have the right to keep your money. Some of them even guaranteed 100% money back, if it so, why do they need the full amount of fees paid in full up front. They dont trust you to pay them for the work, but they expect us to trust them paying them in full to do the loan modification. To many has fallin into a same pit, some of us end up in a deeper pit after paying out big money for loan modification, some will end up in the street.
