Mortgage Modifications do they realy exist? :( Does any one have a postive experience they would like to share? Or any helpful advise to share. I have been working with Litton Loan since 1/09 going no where fast. Is their a debt to income ratio you have to meet for them to help you. In my situation what would make them drag their feet? Why do they tell me they are not working on them now when they were two weeks ago? Is their something I am not clued in on. I am told I am in review then I am told well we are not doing modifications right now but we have your info and when we are working on them again we will be reviewing yours. I have been told by someone you have to be 30 days late on your mortgage for them to take you seriouse I have tried that then it went to two with a NOD now I am catching up so that didn't seem to work.
Please anyone with helpful advise would be apreciated.
Oh did I mention our mortgage is 460,000 and our realator did a comp and it would sell for 350,000 in todays market.

Hi Naomi......Loan Mods really do exist and there are many success stories with them. I'm sure a few will post.

The thing with a loan mod will come down to why you want the mod? Are you facing a hardship?

Some lenders are better than others when it comes to doing a loan mod yourself. It's always best to try it yourself before hiring someone to help you.

You can try naca. They are non profit no cost.

They might be able to help you. If that doesn't work I would look into hiring a loan mod attorney.
