I am very unhappy with my experience with New Day Financial. I received a notice in the mail that I was pre-approved for up to $375,000.00 for a home equity loan.
I called only because it said home equity loan. When I called and gave them my information, they were real nice at first. They told me my credit was good. But when I told them I only wanted a home equity loan for $30,000.00 to consolidate my ebts I was told I did not qualify. But they said I qualify for a re-finance at 7.31% for $274,000.00. I already have 5.75% so I told them I didn't want to do it. How can I qualify for $274,000.00 but not $30,000.00?
I am angry that I gave them my personal information, who knows what they will do with that. I was misled and it was a waste of my time to deal with them.
I talked to Jeff and he got angry with me! Then I get a re-finance packet in the mail for $274,000.00. What a rip-off and false advertising! Cathy Mahoney
