My husband and I have been applying for personal loans and have been constantly turned down. I stumbled upon your site and read about so many people who are in the same position. Due to loss of employment last year, we are desperate to secure a 7,000 personal loan. We own our home and is in grave danger of losing it.
Please provide any information that will be helpful. Thank you

What kind of debts do you have for which you need a personal loan? You may consider a debt management plan in which you will have easy monthly installments to pay off the bills with your creditors. The dmp company will get a lower interest rate with your creditors and waive off most of the fees. Speak with a debt counselor referred by this website for your options.

We have no credit card debt just mortgage & monthly bills. We have sought credit counseling to help us budget and get on track in the future but we need to get out of the rear.

I have applied with prosper, also. Jamesscarlet, was it very difficult to get your loan? Unfortunately because I'm in a severly rate-capped state it wasn't funded. I've only tried once, though. Do you think it's worth it to try again. I spent alot of time on my entry. I also thought their terms were fair and seemed legit.

yes I do. There was a lot of paperwork to fax to them, but it was worth it. My percent was 24 then it went down to 22 in IL. I tried once, and got it. My fico score is below 600. I got my loan in sept. last year, and pay 84 a month for 3 years. I was loaned 2,200. I was glad. Give it a try and donkt give up.

Welcome to the Community :D I feel a little bit different, I guess. I have been in the get-a-loan to keep me out of debt, and got in further. If there is any way to not do that, I would try it. If it is possible, try to get a temporary second job and see if that helps. My husband and I did that-and we aren't spring chickens, and it has helped us climb slowly out of debt. Good Luck to you, and feel free to ask questions..Karen

I have all my past due bills in a debt management program now. Just started 2 months ago. It works very well...I make one payment a month and they handle everything. 2 of my credit cards have already agreed to lower the interest rate and remove some late charges and over limit fees. I highly recommend it and wish I had done it sooner.
