Hello All:

I am new to this site, so hopefully I posted correctly. I could really use some sound advise. I have tried to research these two companies to do a modification. PMC I could not find on the BBB, although on their own site it indicates that they have a C rating. I can't find any info on US mortgage, however, I know that they are attny's. There is a difference in $1000 in fees. If anyone has additional info on either company please advise. JF:confused:

Have you tried negotiating a modification with your current lender? You might not need a third party negotiator at all and thus can save money on their fees. try to work out a deal with the lender. There are also lots of scams happen in the mortgage modification industry. So, just be careful about choosing a mortgage modification company.

Regarding the two companies I could only gather information on US Mortgage Modification. Check the following links.

Thank you so much for the information. I was afraid to negotiate with my lender as they still retain the option of forclosing on my home during the negotiation process. I was talking w/a represtative from Lodex today and he indicated their process will prevent forclosures, but this is a risky business and I really don't trust any of these companies. I was trying to determine from this site if anyone has used this company, however, I realized that ghost users are on this site as well. So confused, but thanks again for assisting with the research.

I remember participating in one discussion on this board where the homeowner faced the issue of foreclosure even after hiring the service of a mortgage modification company. Loan modification might not prevent one from foreclosure. Accepting the modification proposal depends upon the sole discretion of the lender. I'm sure that no mediator would guarantee you against foreclosure. The most they can do is, try. Please shop around, compare the charges and also don't forget to look up the company with BBB and DC's office for their reputation.
