surrendured home in bankruptcy...deed was NEVER transfered

We were discharged oct. 08. We have just been notified by attorney saying that we need to maintain the property because of unmowed grass. We told them we no longer own the property, it went back to the bank. They did some research and it came back that the deed was never transferred and we are still responsible for the property and taxes. What do I do? What happens next?
