Prosper Online

I've never heard of prosper online, but I would be wary of taking on more debt to get out of debt. That always seems to backfire for a lot of people. Have you thought about enrolling in a debt consolidation program?

They could get you low interest rates on your credit cards and take care of your pdls. You'd pay one affordable monthly payment to the debt consolidation program and they would disburse the payments to your creditors.

Okay, I checked this site out and found it very interesting. Depending on the rate you can borrow at, it looks like a good alternative to hitting a loan shark up for a loan (i.e., CashCall).

I may check into this site from a lending aspect.

No, I have a loan with them. I know its sounds like a way out, it was for me, but then soon after I got the loan, I was right back where I was and still had to pay my new prosper loan as well. There have been several people on this board who have had success with prosper. Granny, I don't think you need good credit, you just need to be able to sell yourself.

i thought about it, but right now with no job, i can't even pay them. I was just wondering out loud about prosper loans. after i came back to reality, i realize that it would be a good idea for me.

I have also heard good things about prosper. I think that they have to follow each state's small loan cap interest rates.

I tried to get a loan with prosper but they don't do anything but business loans in the state of NC. I had emailed them and asked them about this, but I have never gotten a response back. Really sucks because I would love to get us back on our feet and get a head a little bit. (hubby has to leave again, mother back in hospital) So tired of taking 2 steps forward and 5 steps back!

Are there any other sites like prosper because I fall just short of their required 520 Fico score.
