We are 6 years post BK and did not reaffirm on our mortgage, still live in the home, and have made all the scheduled payments. We now want to sell the home to a family member with a possible rent to own contract. Will it be possible to buy another home and just have them make the payments on our existing home?
We have equity in our home and do not want to lose that but I also realize that if they/we do not make the scheduled payments, the home can be foreclosed on. The family member will be giving us our equity in the contract agreement.

Some creditors and collection agencies refuse to lower the payoff amount, interest rate, and fees owed by the consumer.
Creditors/collection agencies can make collection calls and file lawsuits against the consumers represented by the debt relief companies.
Debt relief services may have a negative impact on the consumer's creditworthiness and his overall debt amount may increase due to the accumulation of extra fees.
The amount which the consumer saves with the use of debt relief services can be regarded as taxable income.
