Are there any legit lenders that offer personal loans of 5-10k for those with bad credit?

I've been looking for a few weeks now and I'm unable to find any legit lenders for bad credit/high risk borrowers.
My credit score is just shy of being able to use prosper.com or a similar p2p lending, so I'm kind of stuck.
