CC balance sky high, Is home refinancing good to get rid of

My husband and I have five credit cards in total. My husband lost his job last month. I am employed with a low paying job. We just cannot continue to pay our bills and cc balance is sky high now. We own a house. We are thinking of refinancing. Is this good for us? Any idea?
