Not the photo recently in the media from Mars, but the BBC drama "Life on Mars". Anyone here watch that program? It reached it's shocking conclusion last night. I don't have time for much TV, but it is my favorite. I also hear an American version is in the works. There seems to be a growing trend of Americanizing BBC programs as there was in the early 1970s: Till Death Do Us Part (All in the Family), Steptoe and Son (Sanford and Son), Man About the House (Three's Company), etc. Now it's The Office and Dancing with the Stars and the like.

A sort of spin off is in the works now called Ashes to Ashes (like Life on Mars, named for an old David Bowie song). Takes place in 1983 instead of 1973, and will have some of the same characters, like Gene Hunt. I haven't seen "Redneck Wedding" but it sounds funny. As to "Whose Line is It", I didn't watch either version very much, but it seemed the only difference was that they had different hosts (and mostly the same cast).
