CMG/OSL Marketing Group or whoever they are has taken $650 out of my bank account w/out my consent. I have tried leaving messages and sending faxes to get my money back. I never applied for a loan w/ them and do not know what to do. I have to get this money back ASAP. What should I do?
Thanks!

I finally found the number you gave me and have called and left many messages but no response. I just keep getting a voicemail. I did take out a paydayloan w/ a company but it was not CMG, it was OKpayday loan and they sent me the paperwork to sign and it has been leggit and already paid it off. I never signed anything or received anything from this CMG Group. From my understanding this has happened to other people that I have read about in this forum.

Thanks for the help. I will check and see if I can find out any other info. I will tell you this that I will never do anything online again where money is involved and my account info. Stupid me!! Definitely a learning lesson:)

I received a $200 deposit from these people-now they're taking out $60 dollars sending me into overdraft-i applied for a payday loan but called and cancelled it-talked to two people screaming at them to cancel and they said they would-in Florida you can only have one payday loan at a time-I am FURIOUS-can my bank stop the debits?

I applied for a loan but did not like the terms and therefore did not sign the agreement. They deposited the money in my account and are insisting on me paying the interest.

I have sent them repeated emails stating that I did not sign the aggreement and would only give them back their money. They have taken all but $40.00 back.

I am going to file a complaint against them.

This is an illegal payday loan company. Stop payment with your bank and file a police report.

I just had this happen to me as well. After reading these blogs I called the bank to stop payment. They said they can't unless they reach the amount they put in the account first. It was suggested to me by my bank representative to change account numbers. That will most likely be my option. I guess that teaches us for putting our personal information online... f***ing scammers!

Great! I applied on line with them just to see if I could get a small loan but never approved them putting $200 in my account I'm scared I will be screwed and can not afford that! That's why I was looking for a short term loan. Are they really illegal? And should we all file a police report?

I just had $200 put into my account and I'm freaking out! I cannot afford this and never agreed to it.....I read the responses about closing account etc...but why should I have to? Are there legal options I can pursue? Don't I have 3 business days to cancel any agreement if there were one (which there isn't!)?

Go into your bank and speak to the branch manager, explain your situation and ask that the moeny be returned, also explain that now that this company has youraccount information it will never be safe again, and believe me it won't! Perhaps the branch manager can assign a different account number to your account which would prevent this lender from having access to it. CLICK HERE to find out how to deal with illegal lenders.

Yes you go to your bank and dispute these charges. I used to work at a bank and this is a fraud department's worse nightmare. Call your bank and ask for the fraud department. They will dispute these charges and get your money back. They have taken money out of my husbands account as well and started with 90.00. I just called them from the number given next to the transaction and was told if you want CMG group call this number, then when you call it answers, OSL Marketing. I was on hold for 10 minutes to just get a voicemail to leave a message. This is nothing but a scam and we are going to the bank asap to take care of this. You should too. You should have a long time ago. 650.00??????? I'm hoping that wasn't done all at once. However, please remember, never go look up payday loans online. We did that once too and that's how his last bank account ended up. Companies taking out money so we closed that account and started fresh. 4 months later with no issues and here's this CMG Group. We will close it again if we have to. If you ever need a payday loan, just go to a Check n Go or to EZ Loans. EZLoans charges less interest and gives you cash. Check n Go is a check that you have to go to the bank to get it cashed and etc. That's why we like EZ Loans, it saves you time and trouble. But only get payday loans if you must as you lose your axx in interest. lol. We had to as we are helping my daughter through a tough time after having a baby. Thank goodness it's tax season. Hopefully this helps you and if you need a phone number, yes, it's 1-866-516-9300, give this number to your bank. If you need more people to testify for you that it's happened to them as well, my number is 830-237-6729. Call anytime! Angela

also, Stephanie from OSL marketing just called me back. She said they are the call center for CMG group. I asked her what CMG stood for and she said nothing, it's just initials. I asked her why they would be taking 90.00 out of his account and she said, did he apply for a payday loan online. I told her no. He says he didn't. Also, why would he, he just got one at EZ Loan in person last week. She said she couldn't help me as my name isn't on the account and basically hung up. But at least call and leave a message and then someone will call you back. If you have to act like you want a new loan. That's what I did.
Good luck.

I have had horrible luck with these jerks...and now with other affiliates of them. I have ended up having to change my bank account info. and haveretained an attorney. Yes, it's probably going to cost more to get a lawyer and fight it, but it's the principle of the matter to me!

Hi,

To be precise, this is true that personal information should be kept a secret, especially when it comes to on line personal information.I guess you should also take care of this because some companies are scam companies and will take no time to put you into endless trouble in the near future.Already that you had faced such a situation, steps should be taken ASAP.

Maybe your attorney can take it to class action status and you won't have to bear the brunt of the cost!

Yesterday I applied for a $150 loan through Check n Go and was denied because I already have a $100 loan outstanding. Within literally minutes of the rejection, my cell and office phone was ringing, and I had an email in my box from CMG saying that I was approved for $250. I never responded, I never signed the paperwork, I never agreed in any way to the loan, but today there is $250 in my account with their name on it. I finally looked at the PDF they sent me, and at the bottom they have my name on the signature line. I just called the 800 number, and they said they would remove the money from my account. I said I wanted something in writing. The woman I talked to said they can't do that. I said I wanted to speak to a supervisor. She said there was no supervisor. I said, "You're in a room alone by yourself?" and she said yes.
After reading the other posts in this forum, I'm convinced that this isn't just borderline illegal, but completely beyond the pale. I'm going to see what I can do about filing a police report. We'll see if the money gets taken out of my account or not.

@JakeR -
Same thing happened to me, go emails, did not open the links or reply in any way to them, no calls to me though. I sent emails back stating that I did not want this loan, did that 3 times and they still deposited $350 in my account today! Called them first thing this morning, told them about it and they said the would reverse the money out of my account today. I asked how it got there in the first place when I didn't open any links, sign anything, receive any calls??? Of course, no answer on that one. This is who I was dealing with out there via email all morning!!

We Just had this happen to us as well we did go to mutalmoney.com and filled out an online app for a loan we were denied by two and pending a third but did not call them back because we decided not to do it. I checked my account and 250.00 had been deposited and loan documents signed by oslo marketing we never signed any documents or spoke to any one from that office. I returned an email to them stating that I had not gotten a loan with them and told them it was fraudelent actions, I also filed a complaint with the Federal Trade commission, told them that too, and I will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau. To say the least they are taking only the 250.00 they put into the account with no fee. Contact the Federal Trade commission and the better business bureau. Hope you get your money back.

Sorry to bump a slightly old post but these cash advances always get bad reputations because of the people requesting them.

There is no cash advance fairy out there magically putting money in your bank accounts and taking money out.

You have all completed applications for cash advances or someone did one using your information.

With these cash advances there is almost always a 48 hour period where you can request the loan be reversed without fee. Sometimes the cash advance provider will request a copy of your bank information to prove you did not spend the money in the mean-time.

I do not work for a cash advance company nor have anything to gain from this post. I've tried a number of cash advances through the years and more recently tried the Indian reservation ones (which have horrible reputations) and i've had nothing but legitimate experiences.

Unless your bank information is being used without your consent by another party don't blame someone else when you take money and don't intend on paying it back.

This company is horrible. They deposited money into my account that I did not approve and then they withdrew a payment from my account. After fighting with them in email and prooving I did NOT use the money they loaned me, I was finally compensated. All this was done with my approval. They are a very shady business and I will be reporting them to the BBB. Do NOT do business with this company. They ALSO go by the name SSM Group. BEWARE!!!!
