I am in my 30s. I have saved a decent amount for down payment. I am thinking should I buy a home first or buy a good car? I have a car to commute, but it's not good for long drive

What are your income status. To buy a house, only saving the down payments is not enough. You need to make the payments properly. So, once you are sure you can manage the payments go for a home. And, try to buy a budget car in cash. So save money.

Where are you living right now? A rented apartment or in your own home? If you're living in a rented apartment, then it's better to buy a home. However, if you're living in own home, then you can use it to buy a car. Think carefully. The value of a car depreciates with time.

THe value of the car depreciates over the time, so generally, it is better to invest for a home. Also, if you are living in a rented home, buying house would the primary objective for you.
