This is an excellent way to make some extra money, I'm a member of a few survey websites and I make about $20-30 a month. My full time job and school cut back on the surveys I can do but if I had more free time, I'm sure I could make more money doing them

There are tons of survey sites out there and if you do a search you can find loads of companies. Or if you want, PM me and I can give you some links

YES!! Please let me know the 'legit' websites. There are SOO many ones, that aren't legit, that you have to pay for, etc. Some surveys ask you for SOO much personal information..then you get 'no where' with them. Yes..'Vikas'...would be nice to "share the websites."

there are some that i have signed up for that once i signed up i decided wasn't going to work for me..but there are alot out there that are free. Survey Spot, MySurey.com, Lightspeed, Ipsos.Isay are the ones i do.
Some topics don't interest me so i don't do them, but others I do..you don't earn alot of money and most pay points that you can cash in for items.. I got to test dog food, shampoo and cereal..

And speaking of surveys, have you guys ever done live focus groups? You go in for different topics, are paid good money for two hours and are usually fed. The least I've ever made for a focus group is $75 for about two hours of work. Not bad. Not bad at all. What you do is sign up with Marketing Research companies in your area and are put in their databases. They call you when they have a survey and give you a screener to see if you qualify.

Here's a list of the sites I'm a member of that have paid me

Lightspeed Panel - I'm able to cash out for $10 every 6 weeks. Surveys tend to last about 20-30 minutes if you qualify. You earn points for every survey you qualify and complete and you can convert those points either to cash or to buy merchandise from their shop. Cash however is paypal only but you do receive the money in 2-3 days.

MySurvey - This one is very slow earner for me. I'm lucky if I get maybe 3-4 surveys a month from them. The upside is if you do happen to be a match for a lot of surveys, you do get 10 points for just taking the survey even if you don't qualify for the rest of the survey. Cashout is 1000 points or $10 and checks generally take about a month to receive. Another upside is, you get 150 points for each referral. If you know a lot of people or know how to advertise this can really add up!

Surveysavvy - I've only qualified for a couple surveys but qualified for an incentive task where I got paid $15 for giving them info about my printer activity at work. Pays by check and I received the check in about 3 weeks. They also have a referral program where you receive an average of $2 every time one of your referrals completes a survey.

Opinion Outpost - This one is spotty for me, I receive maybe 8-10 survey invitations a month and I'm lucky if I qualify for 1-2 a month. When I do qualify for a survey they pay generally about $1-5. Cashout is $5 by check and takes about a month to receive. You also get paid $1 for each person you refer who completes a survey.

i.think inc. - I get maybe a survey once or twice a month but I generally qualify for it. You get paid by check after each survey you complete and it's generally only a couple bucks. Checks take about 4 weeks to arrive.

Global Test Market - This one is my favorite. You get 5 points if you don't qualify for the survey and up to 100 points if you qualify and complete the survey. Cashout is 1000 points which equals $50!! I get about 5 surveys a week from them. Checks take about 6-8 weeks to arrive so be prepared to wait. They also have a referral program where you get paid 20 points for each referral that signs up and completes a survey.

I'm a member of a few other survey sites but they are either strictly reward sites (merchandise only) or I have yet to qualify for a survey, or I don't have enough to cash out so I cannot in good faith list them because I don't know for sure if they pay.

I agreed that paid survey can make some extra income, i tried to participated in some paid survey company but i found that some survey just take too much our time. It's not that good amount of money you earn compared to the time you spent on the survey.

yes the junk mail did increase on some of the ones i signed up for..but not for the ones i currently have. Yes, anthony some of them are time consuming and seem repetitive, but then some turn out to be worth your while. I have had the opportunity to test dog food twice which saved me some money. Also got to test shampoo and cereal. The nice thing about them is that you don't have to do them if you don't want to..and you can do them from your home..

I just finished a survey about politics, took me about 10 minutes and got $3.50 for it!

And about testing products, I've done kleenex and toilet paper. Plus a couple times I was sent a tv show in the mail to watch and then report back. I also did a study where I sent in my utility bills

Here's a piece of advice for anyone who wants to get into the survey game. Answer everything honestly! It can be tempting to answer differently if it increases your chances of qualifying for the studies but trust me, these companies are smart and will catch you! A friend of mine once did a $50 survey but lied about a lot of things and got caught, needless to say he forfeited all his earnings.

And also be careful when filling out the surveys, once in a while they throw 'test' questions like 'Answer this question strongly agree'. If you don't answer that particular question the way they just asked, you get kicked out of the survey and may get your account suspended.

DRAWINGS

Global Opinion Panel- Each survey is for an entry into their cash drawings. I am new to this site. But I have heard of others getting product tests from them. GlobalOpinionPanels.com

Greenfield Online- This site primarily enters you into their drawings. They send out a lot of surveys. Some surveys are paid, but far and few between. Their payments are very slow to receive. Here are two great forums for survey takers. You can meet new people and get great advice. They have helped me immensely.

online-sweepstakes.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=39
freepaidsurveys.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=22

There are many more companies that I am signed up with, but they haven????????t proven themselves to me yet. You can check out the forums listed above and make up your own mind. I am also discovering new sites and try to join at least a couple of new ones a month

I hope this can help some of ya'll

I have been taking surveys online for almost a year now and I have made thousands of dollars so far and counting. The key is to sign up for as many of the good ones as you can. The best ones are the sites that pay well and send surveys consistently. I have written a blog about this which includes links to some of the best paid survey sites I have found. You can check it out here: legitimatepaidsurveysitesforyou.blogspot.com

Here's an updated list of survey sites that have paid me (no referral links or anything, just a simple list)

Lightspeed Panel - $195 I have made in 3 years, no its not a lot but they pay within 2 days of requesting.

MySurvey - $200 and been a member for 3 years.

Survey Savvy - $44 been a member for a year

Opinion Outpost - $102.50 been a member for a year

ACOP - don't have exact numbers but it was a small number, they don't send out a lot of surveys and I don't qualify for most of them

Your2Cents - blah, only $8 in a year

Surveys.com - another small amount that I don't remember but i have been paid quickly

GlobalTestMarket - $164.75 in a year

Pinecone reasearch - been a member for about 6 months and have made $50.

Surveyspot - been a member for about a month and have made $10. Most of their surveys are only for entries into a 'grand prize' drawing.

I.Think - another small one, been a member for about a year and have made about $20.

Just thought I would pass along some tips for making the best possible survey experience and making sure you qualify to get paid for it

1)Answer everything honestly, you will get caught if you lie.

2)Take time and read every question, if you go too fast, you will be disqualified. It may be tempting to rush through the survey if you have things to do, but the faster you go, the more chance you have of not getting paid.

3)PAY ATTENTION! I know surveys can be long and boring, but some survey companies place trick questions to see if you really are paying attention. If you don't answer a 'test question' correctly, you will be disqualified and may get booted from the survey company.

4)Answer all quickie surveys that get sent out, even if there is no payment for it (only sweepstakes entries). Answering the quick surveys helps you get qualified for future surveys that will pay you.

5)Be patient for payments, a lot of survey companies only pay by check and it can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks to receive your money.

6)Sign up for paypal! There are survey companies that by with this method and it usually only takes a couple days to receive payment. You can then request a transfer to your bank account, or spend it on ebay or other websites that take paypal.

7)Do product testing! It's been mentioned in this thread, it's free products and payments are very generous. I'm about to embark on a 9 month product test where i will get paid $100 at the end.

All I'm waiting for now is GlobalTestMarket and Your2Cents. I know Global always takes about 6 weeks but not sure about the other one. Just have to wait and see!

i'm just signed up with most of these companys here. you can get the list of them at at amylynn.org

i signed up sunday after thanksgiving (me and my brother), adn have like 151 lightspeed points, $7 from your2cents4teens, 225 points from mysurvey, 30 points from opinionoutpost, $6 from valuedopinions (cashout is a $20 giftcard), and none from survey savvy.

i signed up with fgi research, and got a couple dollars, but since i don't have a paypal account, i can keep filling out surveys and not make anything. with a paypal account they would be great :)

i've tried to sign up with pinecone research, but can't get in. it would be GREAT if i could. i've read all over the internet that they are the best company out there. man, i can't wait once they start recruiting! my mom's best friend was in there, and she had no idea that it is the hardest survey company out there to get in to! she didn't even know the potential of paid surveys.

my brother and i are signed up with dailysurvey, and he qualifies for almost any survey, and i haven't qualified a for a single survey :(.

i would appreciate any tips!

I've tried a few surveys. It just seems like the MORE I do on them, (..and it doesn't matter which company it is..) the LESS I get 'credited' for or 'qualify' for. It's almost like they are a waste of my time now. However.....I'm not putting down those who they have worked out for.

Update time, in just the last couple months, here's what I've gotten paid or am waiting for a check.

Lightspeed - $20
MySurvey - $20
SurveySpot - $57
Opinion Outpost - $23.30
Acop - $5
Survey Saavy - $3
Greenfield Online - $14
Pinecone - $12
Valued Opinions - $20 Amazon gift card
Epoll - $15 Amazon gift card
Surveys.com - 2 free music downloads

Still in the process of doing the toilet bowl cleaner product test for $100 but never got to do the chicken noodle soup test for $50. When signing up for the soup test, I forgot to provide my apartment number so the package got sent to my address, but another apartment and I never located the package (I have a couple dishonest neighbors)

Surveys are worth it!! You just have to be patient and dedicated.

Pinecone research does a lot of product tests. Most of the surveys they send out, at the end of the survey will ask you if you would be willing to try out a product for them. That's not a guarantee you will be invited to test.

The other product tests I've done were straight though the various survey sites. You might want to try looking around online for product test websites.

I have tried this, but i ended up giving it up. It took so much of my time and i hardly got paid anything at all. It took me forever in the morning to delete all the junk mail and i would occationally delete surveys the stuff i did want. But in return i have gotten some free products to try and a few dollars here and there so i guess its all in what your willing to do. sendearnings paid me a few times. But pandaresearch still owes me 100.00. These are really not survey sites, but paid to.. sites. stay away from panda research they refuse to pay me it took me 2 hole years to get that hundred dollars and they are withholding it stuck at 88.00 because the rest are pending for the last year. they wont approve them because they dont want to pay me.

I would definitely have to recommend palmresearch.com . I get two paid surveys everyday from them. Plus they have a referral program that pays 10% of all earnings from surveys taken by my referrals.

This panel belongs right up there with the best of 'em.
