It’s summer time. Can anyone give me tips to save money while traveling., like - how to get air tickets at reduced rate, a decent hotel with a reduced rate, etc.

  1. Go local to save money on your summer trip. Choose a local beach or camping site to enjoy the pocket-friendly summer vacation. You can save on fuel by selecting a local spot as well.

  2. Try to book all inclusive resort to save money on stay, food and activities.

  3. If you’re planning a road trip, then carry enough snack to avoid costly snacks available at a gas station or roadside.

  4. Try to enjoy free entertainment like pool, enjoying the sun at the beach, fishing, free WiFi, cycling etc.

  5. Grab hidden deals or discounts and book tickets ahead of time to save a significant amount.

Ricky, If it’s possible for you, try to fly mid-week instead of flying during weekends; there are chances to get better deals on airfare. Also, have your options open. Search the airfare to fly directly to your destination, and find out whether or not flying to a destination close to it makes sense because of low airfare. You can can drive from the airport to your desired destination. Make sure you check the total cost of traveling before you choose your option.
Also, give a call to the hotel and negotiate the room rate. You might get a better deal if you call directly instead of booking online.

Also, make sure you delete cookies and search history if you plan on doing multiple online searches because you may see repeated rates as well as rate increases based on your search history.
