So what is the step to revoke that and fast...second of all he told me that my statelaws have no bearing because it doesnt matter and he just kept threatening me and said he was sending an office to arrest me....I am hyperventilating I am soo upset.. I told him I am 19 weeks pregnant and wasn't going to listen to this and he said maybe next time you should think before opening your legs... Plpease help....what company are they with...how can i revoke the assignment...

KSpenneberg, first off sit down and breath, you don't need to get upset. They are not going to arrest you, check my blog for a template letter to use for revoking withdrawl and wage assignment (or send me a PM and I will help you) Please tell me what state you are in and also why it is still fresh on your mind time up what was said during your conversation, what company it is with, the number they called from, who called you etc... be very detailed oriented. Is this the only one you have out. This makes me mad and I will do whatever I can to help you with getting thia acct a PIF status or a refund if it is owed to you. Good luck and keep posting we are all here for you

Just do as Ashley said, she is the one that helped me out also. I'm not sure if it scares him or not, but I really don't care. Don't be worried b/c they can't have you arrested or anything like that. They are just full of hot air and besides they probably aren't even licensed in your state. What state are you in?

It is cashnet500 . . . they said the same things to me, but they won't, and can't go through with the threats. My state, Oregon, has just opened an investigation into them. If you need any help or advice just PM me . . . . I haven't got them to settle with me yet, but they have stopped calling and threatening me.

Kristin---Is there anyway, someone at your work can screen your calls for you until you can get this taken care of? Don't allow him to jeopardize your health and that of your child. People who have to insult and threaten aren't usually on the up and up anyway, so don't get to much into a snit. Screen your calls tonight at home and unplug your phone. If that isn't possible leave the house and get away from it all.

Hi Kristin,

Welcome to the forums. First, write down everything that you remember about this phone call. Keep it documented because this will come in handy for future use. I have been reading over some of the Indiana laws. There is such a thing call Prohibited Acts in your state as there are in Ohio as well. This guy made a big mistake by some of things that he said. Do you remember his name? Threatening criminal charges is not allowed in the state of Indiana from what I've read. There are fines involved so file a complaint with your state's attorney general's office. Please PM if you have any more questions.

Kristen, The famous Tim form Cashnet strikes again. He is one rude butt. I would tell him that you are going to AG and see if he can do any thing about it. Also ask him do they pay state tax for your state? That will shut him up pretty quick. WV is suing this company. Cant wait to see them go down. KYSIDE38

You know its one thing saying "this is my job and I have to do it". But, I am sure in their employee handbook it does not say to torment and threaten people, especially a pregnant woman. In my opinion people like this will certainly rot in HELL. These kinds of tactics are lower than low. And the fact that the threats are over the phone is chicken too--just like schoolyard bullies. Don't worry---these crooks cannot harm you cause they are in the wrong, not you.

I originally had a payday loan from Global Payday and I have received a cal from a collections called Paramount. I was told that Cashnet has bought out Global Payday and that they have submitted my file for payroll garnishment. She also said that they told her on several attempts to talk to me that I have just refused to pay the loan. They have never tried to contact me and I have not spoken to anyone from here. Is it legal for them to garnish my wages? The reason I did not pay is because I have gone through so much in my personal life that money is not available to me and I did not intentionally get the loan and expect to not pay it back. They also said the only way to pay them is this has to be post dated on a check and I told them due to financial difficulties I no longer have a checking or savings account. Their advice to me ask a friend or family member to use their account. That is not safe and I would never ask for such confidential info from anyone, plus I do not hav ethe funds. What can I do?

Sabrina I know GFS way too well. I defaulted on a loan with them in October and they are still calling me at work. These guys do not obey any laws and they are just flat out crazy!!! I would refuse to send them anything. I got the same line about using a friend's checking account. As to wage garnishment it depends on your state laws. In my state, NC, only the state or federal government can garnish your wages.

Thanks Ashley. Actually I have sent everything known to man to these people. Certified letters, letters from the AG, complaints to the BBB, I have faxed them about 100 times, called them everyday for about 3 weeks. I have been hung up on, called names, etc. These people just don't care. After how I have been treated by these people I will absolutely not under any circumstances send them any more money.

Greenrhino, Take a look at Dixies post in debt consolidation and settlement titled to all my friends in NC . It actually has a response from AG there. I wouldnt worry to much about these people. NC law is on your side. KYSIDE38

They have just taken $590 out of a joint account that I never even gave them access to. That account really doesn't have any of my money in it. I closed the original account. I don't knwo what to do now? This makses it over 1K that they got on a $350 loan. I emailed them revoking everything wage assignments, debits and everything and they still did this. I have disputed this with the bank but they wont do anything until Tues 1/2/07. I'm at a loss for words!
